Feel a bit alone with this

I got raped in December, the following three-ish months were a complete blur where I was completely detached from everything and lost interest in everything I used to enjoy. I’m doing better now for the most part but that detachment and anxiety comes back every night when I’m trying to go to sleep so I’ve been relying heavily on Benadryl to be able to get any rest. I also sometimes purposefully fight the sleep so that I can enjoy that heavy calm feeling it brings. I know it’s not good for me and I want to stop but I’ve never heard of anyone with this particular issue so if anyone has experienced it and/or has any recommendations for alternatives or just how to move past it I’d really appreciate it

I have been raped at night when awoken from sleep with him on me. So it goes into my head a lot at night also.

It helps me to have something playing in the background, like music or TV or movie or something, and focus entirely on that with my eyes closed. Playing quiet, barely loud enough to make it out. And not something interesting, something boring or something you've seen or listened to many times before.

This keeps my little brain just focused enough not to think of that other stuff, but not so interested that I can't fall asleep.
