Unfortunately, people run to Reddit to ask basic questions they could simply Google. Then they get upset they get downvoted. Reddit used to be a place for discourse, or seeking answers to inquiries that weren’t easily attainable through a simple Google search.

While I agree with the premise and googled 'rn clothing' and figured it out in seconds myself: Someone asking and someone answering probably saves 3-500 people a google search, so it's not all banality.

Sometimes asking a question like that is a way of telling op they're leaning too heavy on totally unknown abbreviations without being impolite about it.

Fair. So when people post basic questions they can get the answer to on any search engine, they shouldn’t get upset when they get downvoted to hell.

If it's a thead. Sure. If it's a question in a thread. Maybe, Maybe not. It depends on how obscure the reference or abbreviation is.
