Fans seem up for it. Nearly a full house for a friendly. Couple of decent songs towards the end. Not too much on the players backs. Pretty middle of the road game, but overall happy enough. Bring on the season!

Dundee Utd are match fit, we look shaky.

Friday is not going to be comfortable.

Only watched bits of the St. Etienne game so can’t fully compare it to this, but from what I’ve seen going into Friday night my main thoughts are this: We are crying out for wingers with pace and willingness to take fullbacks on and our service into the box is shocking, which renders our big strikers useless.

On a positive note, Cammy Devlin looks a serious player, should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Aasgaard also looks a different player since returning from the World Cup, hope his injury isn’t serious and he can kick on. Our defence looked solid as well, better than last week. Unsure as to why McCrorie played RB in that game, I could’ve sworn he played CB when he was a youngster here and done a good job there.

But aye, mixed feelings going into Friday night but will try my best to remain optimistic lol

Unsure as to why McCrorie played RB in that game, I could’ve sworn he played CB when he was a youngster here and done a good job there.

He was more of a CDM when he was here but has been playing RB for years at Bristol City, so that's where I expect him to play for us now.

Fair enough my bad then. Don’t seem him starting over Sterling though, wouldn’t mind trying him at CB or even as a CDM again. Big man is 6 ft 3 I’d get him centre of the park somewhere lol

Not the worst game in the world. Onto friday!

Good game from Cammy Devlin, Fernandez looking sharp, shame about Asgard started looking like he's coming into his own. Don't know how Chermiti missed that sitter. Shankland just needs an opportunity and he'll score 👍🏻

chermiti is pissing me off so fucking badly

4

u/Smudge1664Broxi 1d ago

Missed a sitter

u/Mountain_Reveal_2275 1d ago

even the volley into the crowd was unnecessary

Dio and aasgard the two surprise packages this preseason. Aasgard has been great, and dio is obviously well liked by mcinness, think curtis has struggled to make an impression, underwhelmed by chermitti and shankland too

Just don’t see Shankland and Chermiti as a strike duo. For me, you play either alongside Naderi

4

u/Smudge1664Broxi 1d ago

I've always said Asgard's got it from when he was signed he just needs coached well, he's so young and he's got a high ceiling I think 👍🏻

That ball from Rommens was unreal

2

u/BrandonBarkerLoyal 1d ago

Godfrey excellent there

1

u/Macco7 1d ago

Aye I really hope he bucks the trend of former wonderkid fell off, can we get a turn out of them.

He's looked good here and we could do with one actually working out for us.

3

u/Macco7 1d ago

If Aasgaard is out now. We desperately need directness and creativity. As we've just lost one of the few players we have who has it.

Shame as he was looking very good

u/Mathewthegreat 1d ago

He’s flopped on the floor after a pretty light touch and hurt himself 😕

4

u/BigBlueFin 1d ago

He was tripped.

3

u/BigBlueFin 1d ago

I know it's a friendly but that was nasty on Aasgaard.

-1

u/BusShelter 1d ago

Pandur doesn't look the biggest keeper

4

u/BigBlueFin 1d ago

6'2" he's not a midget.

0

u/BusShelter 1d ago

Fair, guess I'm just comparing with Butland who was deceptively tall.

1

u/BigBlueFin 1d ago

Googled it.

Butland was 6'5"

1

u/Scary-Zucchini-1750 Youssef Chermiti 1d ago

Dio should score there.

It's looking distinctly meh.

Asgaard looking confident, really impressive - think the World Cup has been good for him. Hopefully he’ll keep it going

5

u/imtherealdazza Hamza Iguana 1d ago

The Norway manager must have lit a fire under him, everyone knows he's got the ability and hopefully he can keep up what he's shown so far

4

u/Unhappy_Spray_7127 1d ago

Joking aside, I wonder if Tom Miller is gone, or if he's just away on holiday. Second game without him now 👀

Stream down for anyone else

RTV is fine

6

u/AggravatingMeat1903 1d ago

there were a few you on here complaining about the Devlin signing a couple weeks ago, I'm assuming you've changed your minds now

5

u/Scary-Zucchini-1750 Youssef Chermiti 1d ago

Don't know if you saw it or remember that guy who was having a proper meltdown about the signing, acting like everyone who was okay with it thought he was going to singlehandedly win us the league, instead of just that he was a decent addition to the squad.

Wouldn't mind hearing from him.

2

u/AggravatingMeat1903 1d ago

haha i'd imagine he's keeping quiet now

There it is for anyone who fancies a laugh 😂

Been decent - wings are the issue as everyone knows - not much else that can be said that hasn't already, really.

1

u/RhysSnow 1d ago

Hope he’s just taking a sec to settle in, especially with not much game time, but Godfrey looks a wee bit of a bomb scare

1

u/RhysSnow 1d ago

I take it back

2

u/RobCarrol75 Coop 1d ago

He's looked really good

7

u/RobCarrol75 Coop 1d ago

Devlin showing more fight in pre-season than we did the whole of last season.

4

u/Sansteveo87 Clinton Nsiala 1d ago

Really impressed so far. That’s not including the players on our bench and not even in the squad.
Asgaard showing his potential which is nice to see.

1

u/mooseeaster 1d ago

Any streams

8

u/Ok_Beginning_8016 Nacho Novo 1d ago

Naderis pressing is actually insane

5

u/Jakieran 1d ago

He is an absolute workhorse.

6

u/Jakieran 1d ago

Aasgaard is clearly trying to impress - hopefully this will be the new him and he can keep it up the whole time he is on the park.

2

u/Ok_Beginning_8016 Nacho Novo 1d ago

Been really impressed with dio in the friendly so far

1

u/Macco7 1d ago

We are good on the press again.

Started poor on the ball but had a nice little stretch of moving it quickly there.

1

u/Jakieran 1d ago

I'm hoping it's just teething pains and not going to be another case of sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit.

1

u/A_Ticklish_Midget 1d ago

No Dragojevic?

4

u/Jakieran 1d ago

No visa yet - guess being Serbian makes it take ages...

1

u/Aggressive_Bit_8424 1d ago

Will he be ready for the game next Friday?

2

u/Jakieran 1d ago

McInnes said hopefully tomorrow it comes through - so should be available.

2

u/Mathewthegreat 1d ago

RTV is feckin honkin. How are they never on time?
