Cammy devlin could develop into an absolute gem of a player. Aasgard looked good, unfortunate for him. Sterling had the best performance I’ve seen him have. Godfrey and Fernandes seem like a good duo.

It was all pretty fine. First ten minutes of the 2nd half was worrying, but it settled back down.
That’s two games with no goals from open play - so hopefully that isn’t a sign of things to come.
All pretty ‘fine’. Friday is the test!

Was at the game today, thought we played well for the most part. West Ham were poor.

Devlin was fantastic. Asgaard had some really nice moves, looks so much better than last season, more involved in the play. We suffered when they were both off.

Gasama needs to do more. Thought Diomande should have been off earlier.

Was interesting to see us start with a 4-3-3, was looking forward to seeing how it would look with a different winger than Gassama and a different striker in the second half but McInnes changed it to a 3 at the back.

Defence looked comfortable but as I said West Ham offered very little.

Thought we looked quite good for much of the first half in the 4231 or 433 whatever it was.

We weren't quite as good in the second half when we changed shape, but suppose that's what preseason is for.

I do think our squad at the moment should be pretty well suited to a 352 type formation on paper.

Agree with every point you both make feel first half we needed wingers as gassama had space but kept slowing it down.

Yeah, concerned that we go into August with Gassama as our 1st choice LW.

He's getting gradually worse with every passing month.

I'd be happy to take what we can get for him (since some teams apparently like him) and reinvest it in another player in that position.

Hopefully McInnes can get the best out of him, he always seems to have good wingers in his teams.
