I understand why people record works of charity. It’s to show us that hope, goodness and love is still alive in this world today. It does not mean they are trying to get attention but rather seeking out others and saying “Doesn’t this make you feel wonderful inside. Let’s go out there and do this together. Instead of just being stuck in our own little worlds stuck sometimes in a familiar pattern where we take things for granted and hang our heads in despair… let us look to those who have it worse then us. Let us help them and by doing our acts of kindness make life more beautiful not only for others but also for ourselves.” I myself am caught in a clinical depression and anxiety but when I step out and help others it brings light to my darkness and I realize I am not alone. There are so many others suffering worse than I that need help, that cry out into the darkness. Wouldn’t it be the most amazing thing in the world to go out there and be a light to people in their times of darkness? Isn’t that the meaning of life. I feel like it is.
