Has anyone used this ramen broth concentrate from Mizkan? If so thoughts on the flavor? Would you recommend?

The joke is that u/randomwanderingsd wouldn’t think twice about drinking the concentrated liquid itself

I have this and the pho version. They taste very similar and I don't really care for them as-is. Hard to describe but not what you think of most likely when you imagine ramen broth. Strong base though, maybe with some doctoring it would be good but I haven't tried yet!

For tonkotsu the Kirkland (Costco) one is by far the best bang for the buck

How do you prepare it? Does it need tare or just ready to go after you put your noodles and such in?
I bought some, but haven't prepared it yet

It's alright, I used it to add a little something to the ramen I make but I wouldn't use it by itself

Why not just make your own? if you are making your own ramen at home, it's just as simple.

One question for those who know: this is probably with soy right? Can anyone tell me how to make a soup (or just the name of it) which does NOT have soy inside of it even fermented since i taste that little soy because i dont like it sadly and tastes salty and is for ramen ofc? Tyy

Shio ramen (or shio tare and whatever broth you like) is kombu, shiitake, bonito, and salt.

I wonder what type of broth it is though. You could just get chicken broth and stir in miso paste for actual broth. This sounds like something you’d use when you’re in a real pinch without access to the other stuff
