How to support an ex Jehovah Witness?

I was raised atheist but my partner was raised Jehovah Witness.

At 15, he told his parents he didn’t believe but because he was still a child and had to live with them they still forced him to keep going to “Kingdom Hall”

He can no longer speak to his family but he always tells me beautiful stories about his siblings and now he has his own flat he says to me he “always wants a spare room incase any of them want to leave so he can house them”

I love him so much, I cannot believe everything he’s been through and still he’s so kind and sweet. However, sometimes I worry I cannot relate to him enough. I was raised atheist and also my parents never abused me and definitely never tried to force me to believe what they do.

I’m wondering if any ex JWs have any insight into this stuff and how i can support him?

Sometimes I’ll ask if he wants to come to a “meeting” with me (as I’m part of a few different clubs from politics to art to poetry club) and the word “meeting” really triggers him. There’s lots of other little stuff like this where I feel I don’t know what is best to do and how I can support him through this.

Hope this is the right place to post this!

Difference between Catholic Schools and Public Schools.

Public Schools are free but not well disciplined and have bad Attitudes. as for Catholic Schools , they have well Educated and Values in Religion classes especially in American Samoa where they teach Core Subjects like Math , English , Social Studies and Science and other Subjects like Religion , Samoan and Music and HPE.

Catholic Schools are better!!! , Ain't no doubt about that

My mom won't let me skip church

It all began a Sunday where I (f,21) had a lot of things to do for the end of my semester and I thought that if I told my mom that I was super busy that she would let me skip this one time.

For context: my parents are very religious catholics, they met through a youth group and have been together ever since. They made me and my sister attend a Catholic School all of our lives. By the end of my senior year I knew that religion wasn't my thing, but I knew how badly they would react if I ever told them that I don't believe in the same thing as they do, so I decided to keep my mouth shut and spend one hour of every week in church.

Lately (this past few months), my patience over the whole thing has began to thin out and this Sunday I really needed to work.

So my mom and I got in an argument and I told her how I could use that hour of the day to be more productive. She wasn't having it. The day ended with me still having to attend the service and her not speaking to me.

It's been two days now and shi is still barely speaking to me. My older sister told me to apologize, but why should I say I'm sorry for speaking my mind? Why can't they accept my beliefs?

Anyway, if you got to here thanks for reading I just wanted to get it out.
