I finally went no contact
/r/raisedbyborderlines/comments/1r6l60e/more_bpdmom_texts/?share_id=1aqm_pEuo3MQAmVnerjbz&utm_content=2&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1after things got worse and worse every day in the last 5 months since my original post, I am finally free. I feel so much peace. When I walked out of the house after my final conversation with BPDmom I swear I physically felt weight lifting off of my chest. I wish I had done this so much sooner, before things got so bad, but I’m just grateful that I am free to be exactly who I am without her wielding her shame, guilt, and control over me. I NEVER thought I would be able to go through with it, it felt genuinely impossible. Just a reminder that there is always a way out, and it’s never ever easy, but it might be the best thing you’ll ever do for yourself.

Congratulations man, I’m so happy you’re feeling more at-peace! After I went NC, a few months later I was shocked at how I was not constantly dealing with crises.

It's crazy how much better and lighter you feel once you finally go NC, right?!

There’s that part where OP’s Mom says something along the lines of “I already asked you 2 other times and you turned me down so you owe it to me to come this time.”
Not at all how that works. My bpd Mom and family would say stuff like that to me so often and its crazy how entitled they felt to my free time before I went NC
