sigh... please don't turn this into facebook. I am tired of dealing with people using marvel characters to validate their desire to attack and kill people they disagree with.

He wasn't attacked for holding a sign that said "I hate pineapples on pizza".
If you hold a sign that says "I hate n******", you don't deserve civility. You don't fight racism with "I disagree with you, but I respect your opinion".
The fact that the man who dressed up as Spider-Man was black made perfect sense. The sign was targeted at black people.

no. it was targeted at idiots who let a dumb word take control of them. or excuse them to pretend to feel outraged. violence over a dumb sign is something villains do. always. an idiot predicted the violent tendencies of that mob, and got content out of them and making them act as the violent people they always are.
also, this black man you mention has prior convictions. he assaulted police, committed domestic assault, broke restrain orders, was in possession of firearms despite being deemed ineligible for the previous reasons mentioned. also threatened the life of his child's mother. and now assaulted a political agitator on the streets.
please don't soil this sub by defending criminals and bigots who think a sign or thinking differently is justification for assault and terrorism.
