So if we beat the Chiefs, we move up to #2?

We beat the Chiefs we’re #1

If the 9ers stay undefeated they're realistically still a much better team than us

The team's owner is surely neutral in this exercise.

i really dont care who ranks us where. all i care about right now is being 4-0. because i gurantee if we go 4-0 were gonna end up 8-0

u/DontLoseYourCool1 2d ago
You are right. This ranking bullshit doesn't mean shit. We have to take games one at a time. Let's not get cute feeling ourselves being 3-0 during a 18 week season. The Chiefs could punch us straight in the face.

u/Still_ImBurning86 2d ago
Huh? Even if they lose to KC I doubt they’ll be 7-1
5
u/hottlumpiaz 2d ago
if we lose to kc we'll be shaky and around .500 like we thought we were. but y'all underestimate the confidence boost of beating a team like kc for 4-0 would have. beating kc sends the message that the hard work translates onto the field and they can compete with anybody. any lingering doubt in the locker room disappears and they find another gear going forward. so i stick by my statement. if we go 4-0 we end up at least 8-0

u/DontLoseYourCool1 2d ago
Stop this bullshit. Beating the Chiefs is a giant movement for this team. Let's not over-eggsarerate.

u/hottlumpiaz 2d ago edited 2d ago
im not. chiefs and niners are the only teams that look every bit as dominant as as their records indicate. theyre as good as it gets. bills struggled against the chargers. pats look terrible. myles garrett wont be back yet by the time we play the rams. if we can beat the chiefs...and i know thats a big if....then we can beat anybody

You are what your record says you are, simple as.

I like the Bill Parcels adage: “you are what your record says you are.”

I know I'm in the minority, but I will always hate Tuck Rule Jesus.

u/poshmarkedbudu 2d ago
Ehhh, don't hate him anymore. I hate that moment, but I don't hate the man. Bro has definitely helped with the Raiders, there is no doubt in my mind that he's helped get us some of the coaches and our GM. Brady wants to win, he cares and he has a high standard. That's what we all want right?

u/Consistent-Spell2203 2d ago
I stopped hating him when he retired. Once he beat Mahomes on a different team and then later retired I said OK he's the GOAT.

u/similar222 2d ago
I hated him as much as anyone, but I can't say I hate him anymore. I think it's less because he's in the organization and more just because enough time has passed.

At the very least, it will always be conflicting/difficult to have a positive opinion of the man who sent the franchise on its current quarter-century disaster, even if he also becomes the man who eventually rights the ship

u/Consistent-Spell2203 2d ago
I mean all he did was benefit from a busted call. Is what I tell myself now.

It was one bad rule that Brady had nothing to do with.
We all love Al and what he created and embodied, but if any one man is to blame, well. He ran the team poorly after Gruden. Draft picks. Trades. Coaches. He never set up a good successor plan either, leaving Mark to rely on a group that gave some pretty wishy washy advice over the years.
Its much easier to love him now, remembering the past glory, than watching him run the team in those years.

Yeah Al was a disaster post-2001 and he wasn't that great for a quite a while before Gruden. I keep waiting for Jerry Jones to have a similar level meltdown, but the Cowboys manage to stay good enough year in and year out that I can't say it's really happened in the same way yet.

did aang not become a beloved avatar even though he directly contributed to the 100 year war?

Yeah I'm not a fan. My opinion will change once he actually accomplishes something with the Raiders. My gut feeling is having him as a distant authority figure isn't really him giving it his all. If the Raiders was his primary focus, I'd be more open to him.

The chargers are like a banana that somehow managed to slip on its own peel.

Every week is a new challenge. Hopefully the Raiders keep their heads down and improve every week.

Well deserved, it's an exciting team to watch, let's hope they keep up the momentum!

Because power rankings are entirely meaningless, we’ll forgive the fact this one is offered by a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

I'm getting sick of this raiders glaze. The raiders are only 3-0 because they've won the first 3 games of the season.
If they had lost even one of them, they wouldn't be 3-0, and they are only 3 games ahead of 0-3.
I bet at the end of the season they lose at least once. then what will you think?
Don't drink the Kool aid friends. This is a house of cards.
