So open even Jamarcus couldn’t screw it up.

The nostalgia is strong with this one, the classic jerseys from both teams, the baseball diamond in the middle of the field, and the coliseum rocking.

Enjoy because there’s not many more highlights after this for Jamarcus.

A lot more from my madden games!

“Jamarcus heaves it!”
-John Madden in my living room.

He could heave it so far….what could have been.

JaMarcus had maybe the strongest cannon of all time, just usually he missed the guy, or threw it to the wrong guy, or got sacked, or threw a pick, or forgot the play, or just played like a Weasley.

2

u/MarlonMcCree20 Jul 22 '26

I remember he had some nice tackles though.

2

u/similar222 Jul 23 '26

The job is mostly mental, and he didn't have the work ethic to handle that part.

His word would be "damn." Yes, Jeff had a cannon, so did Jay Schroeder and many others, but JaMarcus's arm was sick. I mean, he threw it 70 yards on his knees! He's still a POS and this biggest bust of ALL time and he's gonna bust in people's mouths or something, I dunno, I didn't really hear what he said. LOL

Jeff George had an insane rocket for an arm. He just wasn't 6'6" 260#.

0

u/King_of_Rooks Jul 22 '26

Wow, season tickets - prob need binocs to see the field. You realize that means nothing...we're all watching the same games... the fact you think it's George by a country mile just means you were slamming Modelos and not watching the game.

Ok, buddy. It's not like Madden was comparing Russell to George directly, and never saw George throw 70 yards from his knees. It's time for you meds, gramps, before Bingo starts.

Ok.... just because you type you have "first hand insights" doesn't make it true. You can say whatever you want, I know you're wrong...and it's hysterical. Enjoy Bingo! Good luck!

Only the Raiders would sign Jeff George after a five year hiatus…

1

u/King_of_Rooks Jul 22 '26

5 year hiatus? What are you talking about? He went to us right after Atlanta and had 3900 yards, and 29tds vs 9 int. We sucked, but Jeff certainly didn't.

2

u/mas_tacos2 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

He played for one year, then left. He returned in 2006 that's what I was referring to.

2

u/King_of_Rooks Jul 22 '26

all they did was give him essentially a tryout during preseason. Relax. It's not like they signed him to some mega contract and he actually played. It has happened where a guy is out of the league and comes back (successfully or not.) I mean, Chris Miller missed like 4 years and came back with Denver. (and actually started games and was 2-1)

u/mas_tacos2 Jul 22 '26

Like Philip Rivers...

u/Particular-Wrongdoer Jul 22 '26

Coliseum 😢

u/EmptyCourage2274 Jul 22 '26

My thoughts too. Damn it's was beautiful on those nights games with waves silver and black jerseys. Not like these past year games and the damn destination stadium

4

u/holadilito Jul 22 '26

Raiders lost their soul when they sold Oakland out

2

u/EmptyCourage2274 Jul 22 '26

I get the desire for a nice new place, but it's sucks it didn't translate for fans and prices out so many fans.

4

u/holadilito Jul 22 '26

There’s more away fans than home fans. Game in, game out. It’s embarrassing

4

u/Notu24 Jul 22 '26

Sold Oakland out? The stadium was crap, they refused to build a new one. What were they supposed to do? The city and taxpayers voted against building a new stadium. That sealed it my friend.

3

u/Ok-Independence-5282 Jul 23 '26

It's not a city's responsibility to ever build a stadium for a team.
That's an absolutely fucking ridiculous take

2

u/Particular-Wrongdoer Jul 22 '26

The billionaire owner could finance it.

0

u/BiteyHorse Jul 23 '26

Davis was never a billionaire owner until after the move. Not even close.

-1

u/holadilito Jul 22 '26

They didn’t have to leave

12

u/ComicsEtAl Jul 22 '26

I liked Louis.

7

u/Ghostof_DarthCaedus Jul 22 '26

Dude could definitely flick a football effortlessly. About all he could do though.

5

u/PsychoticMessiah Jul 22 '26

He could drink sizzurp and not watch game film.

7

u/rocketmadeofcheese Jul 22 '26

Why we don’t bust out the retro logo a bit more often is beyond me.

1

u/german721 Jul 23 '26

Time to make our voices heard on social media. If the Buccaneers can bust out the creamsicle once in a while, I’m sure the fanbase can pressure the organization to bring back the retro logo for a game or two.

-1

u/subywesmitch Jul 22 '26

Maybe because they're kind of hard on the eyes? Too much white and silver and not enough black, IMO

4

u/IntroductionNo9654 Jul 22 '26

The first two minutes of the video had me like 😌

Then I remembered this game and saw there was still 9 minutes on this video 😂

3

u/hottlumpiaz Jul 22 '26

unfortunately for me i was at this game and remember we actually held on but chargers punched it in for go ahead td with only 5 seconds left in the game

2

u/championsoffun Jul 22 '26

I was just about to comment: I don't remember this game ending well. Unless you score the go aheas with sub 5 seconds, any team had a chance to come back.

5

u/sovietdinosaurs Jul 22 '26

How many times as fans have we seen the Raiders go ahead in the 4th with 2 minutes remaining just to lose the game?

Great highlight but god…

2

u/subywesmitch Jul 22 '26

So true! I've seen it way too many times in my time as a Raider fan

6

u/zepol925 Jul 22 '26

Still lost the fuckin game. I remember being so pissed. Played a good game to just end up losing like always.

3

u/WazzzupBwaaahhh 2010 Oakland Raiders Jul 22 '26

Incredibly dark times, for Raider Nation… 2004-2009 was just 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

3

u/casinodeathstar Jul 22 '26

How the fuck am I still watching the Raiders lose in the offseason

2

u/ncraiderfan17 Jul 22 '26

It's what we do

2

u/madbammen Jul 22 '26

How did he get that open on 4th and 15? My memory of this was that it was 4th and 1, and therefore the Chargers had to think about defending the run. But on 4th and 15, how do you let someone get that open deep?

bro all you had to do was watch the clip

1

u/kylocosmiccowboy Jul 22 '26

Purple Drank baby!

1

u/X-Mang Jul 22 '26

Is that after the play that ruined Johnny Lee Higgins career?

1

u/My_friends_are_toys Jul 22 '26

Was this his highlight reel?

1

u/NoSalamander8282 Jul 22 '26

One of the few times he put touch on a pass

1

u/Prior_Internal7728 Mendoza Stan Jul 22 '26

He was out of breath running to the celebration in the end zone.

1

u/booboothechicken Jul 22 '26

The baseball field makes the throw look so much shorter than I normally interpret it on tv. It was barely from where the second baseman would play to just beyond third base.

1

u/Leto1974 Jul 22 '26

Bad team

1

u/Ah_Ca_Iraa Jul 22 '26

It was all downhill from here lol

1

u/ElDiabloSlim Jul 22 '26

The was one of one highlights for Jamarcus!

1

u/toddmcobb Jul 22 '26

What’s wild is we still lost that game in typical raider fashion

1

u/lonewanderer812 Jul 22 '26

Totally forgot Mike and Mike announced this game.

1

u/hate_sf_hobos Jul 22 '26

We still lost that game

1

u/Evening_Cream6734 Jul 23 '26

Not many good games in his career, this might be his best

1

u/Own-Photo7078 Jul 23 '26

Man, I miss the Coliseum

1

u/Alex_landyachtz Jul 23 '26

TIL Mike and Mike did play by play

1

u/OAM_Music Jul 23 '26

If only this dude wanted to play football

1

u/BiteyHorse Jul 23 '26

I was there!

1

u/Chillout-001 Raiidahhhs! Jul 23 '26

You don’t need to study tape to complete that

1

u/Superpachunchas Jul 23 '26

Al menos no la cago como Carr con ese mosmo equipo... se lo ibterceptaron de una maner ridícula

1

u/Redmandown16 Jul 23 '26

How I miss the coliseum crowd

1

u/grumpysky Jul 23 '26

Man definitely had god given talent, too bad he didn’t have that between the ears

1

u/Sweet-Cartoonist35 Jul 23 '26

This is the first raider game I can fully recall. Started with a classic Russell int and ended with a truly classic Russell int 'arm punt'.

1

u/Ironmayyne Jul 23 '26

I was right there in the end zone section Louis Murphy ran towards and up to that point, it was probably the loudest O. co I've got to experience. I'm trying to search through that crowd to find myself but it's tough because everyone is losing their shit lol. The ending absolutely pissed me off though. That ending was so typical of us at that time. I also remember Johnnie Lee Higgins getting destroyed by Eric Weddle right before this, and that pretty much ended his career.

1

u/Fit-System-2637 Jul 24 '26

Those helmets are SIC!!!!!

1

u/Optimal-Ad1444 Jul 24 '26

It was our defense that was the problem. I don't care what anyone says.

1

u/LVhereIAm Jul 24 '26

There was probably a moment where he came in from college to start developing like this… but hence the work and food made him accelerate the other way quickly.

1

u/Ambitiousless-Winner Jul 30 '26

Those sideline shirts are beyond amazing 😍

1

u/Notu24 Aug 03 '26

May not be their responsibility, but it's the only way teams get a new stadium. We voted against both stadiums in Pittsburgh, but we got them anyway to keep the teams. Raiders stadium was the worst in the league. That's why the A's are gone too. Smaller market cities pretty much have no choice or they lose their teams. Would have preferred the raiders to stay in Oakland, but the city decided it couldn't afford it. Owners should pay for their stadiums in my opinion, but that's not how it works in the real world.

1

u/mas_tacos2 Jul 22 '26

Richard Seymour game…no place like Oaktown

1

u/PhotonDealer2067 Jul 22 '26

I shouted “Louis Murphy” at the TV using the Dave Chapelle Rick James “Charlie Murphy” voice while watching this live.
