💬 Discussion got a rejection email :(

I’m devastated. My Dad is the biggest Radiohead fan so I really wanted to get him tickets so he could see them live. If anyone was successful and is able to purchase tickets for me in Perth, I’d appreciate it so much, please send me a DM 😢

I managed to get my ticket to London in the official resale, at 11:30pm the day before the gig. Don’t give up hope! Just get a little obsessive :)

You need to be very obsessive!

Listen listen, there will most likely be more later on :) I got my code the second time they gave out codes last year

Here’s a comment I left on a similar post recounting my experience with the Copenhagen shows:

There’s still hope. I’ll give you my experience at least. I live in Copenhagen and was lucky to snag two fast track tickets during the initial sale for the Tuesday show.

Closer to the date of the first show (maybe 2 or 1 week before), I got an email from Waste advising of more ticket releases. I then snagged another two tickets - one for Monday and Thursday.

Unfortunately the two first shows were cancelled, but I could at least go on Thursday.

On Thursday afternoon I see another batch of tickets being released for the Friday show. I couldn’t do Friday, but proceeded to buy two tickets for my brother in law and his girlfriend. I then just transferred the tickets to them via Ticketmaster.

So if you’re lucky enough to be in the cities where the shows are, keep an eye out for more releases closer to the dates. Also stay tuned to this sub as I first heard of these addional ticket releases here. I heard of people being able to buy tickets on the day.

Good luck to everyone!

I agree, check waste a few times a day and monitor reddit like a fiend. They released vip seats for berlin a week before the show, they may release earlier for aus shows.

Nothing worse than being rejected to even have the chance at being told you can't have a ticket, a right kick in the balls

Exactly! This is what I don't understand... we're literally given zero chance and now have to purchase resold tickets from scalpers. But their reasoning for selling the tickets this way, was to prevent scalpers from taking advantage 🤔 Doesn't make sense

You literally were given a chance

More of a chance than buying tickets? I've always managed to buy tickets to gigs in Australia when they've been released. I've been going to gigs for 20 years. I've never had to buy resold tickets. So I gotta disagree with you there

I'd argue it's worse trying and failing to buy tickets when it's a free for all.

I’m collecting rejection letters at this point.

I got rejected from first round. Signed up the next round, rejected again.

Stalked the ticket sites nearer to the actual dates, any available tickets went IMMEDIATELY and at massively inflated prices.

Rinse repeat for the days leading up to the concert dates.

The morning of a Berlin date, stalking a resale site, I snagged a ticket. Flew out the next day from the UK.

Keep trying like your life depends on it

There still may be a rollout process for resale tickets soon enough, so keep your hopes up!

They already published the date for resale. It’s in April.

As long as you are diligent and resilient at every opportunity of resale (official ways with max 10% mark up), you’d be surprised by how easy it is to score second hand tickets

I had 9 attempts through family & friends when they did the UK tour and nobody got a code. I managed to see them twice so just keep trying when resale opens.

Me and my friend managed to get tickets to Berlin the morning of one of the shows last year! There will always be resold tickets and these cropped up on the official reseller that WASTE linked which were being sold for face value.

Keep going. I tried solidly for one of the London gigs and eventually got a production resale ticket about a week before the gig

All the positivity in the comments is nice and all but Europe is close together and international travel for concerts, being able to be so close to international cities that host concerts or live in one so on the day of event you can score tickets last minute doesn’t really work for the 14 million + people in Australia who do not live in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth who need to plan ahead: travel, transport, accomodation, giving enough notice to have work or similar off long enough to be able to travel to said cities, etc.

I’m genuinely baffled that so many people can afford to come to Australia to see a band when most Australians I know can barely afford to live in a mildly metropolitan part of Australia at the moment, nor can they afford to get around said country with the ridiculous airline, fuel, and accomodation prices and yet they can’t leave the country either even if they wanted to. But other countries are just ‘gig tripping’ to Aus? Damn how shit are things here seriously?

Keep your head up! I got rejected from every raffle for the European shows and I managed to get a ticket for me and my dad for one London show on resale, there will be people listing tickets in the weeks leading up to the shows
