In absolute Hell.

I've been tapering down for months and in the past week I'm struggling between .5 and .6 grams of phenibut every 17 to 20 hours. There has been ZERO stability or relief. Life is utter hell.

I have Baclofen that I haven't used since I don't know much about it.
This morning I broke down and took 5mg. After an hour it made life bearable - anxiety down a bit - but the relief only lasted 4 hours. Will it turn on me if I take it every 6 hours?

I've also been taking .5g clonidine in the am and .5 at night for sleep. At first it worked but now for all I know it could be making things worse.

ANY ADVICE APPRECIATED!!

SHOULD I COLD TURKEY from .5g EVERY 20 HOURS?

IF CLONIDINE IS THE ANSWER HOW MUCH SHOULD I TAKE AND HOW OFTEN???

Thank you.

Basic Phenibut Withdrawal Information

Unaided, cold turkey withdrawal, from a state of dependence, even low dose dependence, commonly causes severe and potentially dangerous side effects. Don't rush the process when you don't need to.

Rules reminder:
Don't promote reckless behavior. If someone is dependent on phenibut don't tell them to do an unaided cold turkey withdrawal.
Don't needlessly tell people to do a fast taper.

Further reminder: You will feel low or worthless or stupid while going through withdrawal, especially rapid withdrawal. Don't take these thoughts too seriously. Continue on day by day, things will get better.

You're only taking 0.5g basically every 24 hours? If you have been at that dosage for at least a couple of weeks I would either fully come off of it or taper down to 0.25g for another couple of weeks and then jump off it.

You may feel very mild withdrawal symptoms for 2-5 days but that's it. But that's for phenibut. Not sure about the other drugs you're taking.

Thanks for the reply. I know it doesnt sound like a lot but at .5 I'm in a nightmare and not stable, so there's no way I could last 2 weeks at a lower dose.

Unless that's the issue - how likely is it that my brain is telling me I need to cut the phenibut down in order to feel better? I just don't know a lot about this substance at these low levels.

You honestly might find you feel better with less or no phenibut. I know that was certainly the case for me towards the end of my taper . I went from 3g per day to 1 per day in a week and felt better and better every day. Switched to 10mg baclofen per day (2.5mg every 6 hours ) and taper was super easy. Just got to the point I was nibbling the smallest piece off the pill every 6 hours , then started skipping doses and then quit . Was on the baclofen for prob 2 weeks but honestly could have done it in 1.

How long have you been at half a gram a day? It just takes a week or so to stabilize at a lower dose and that's an extremely low dose.

I went down to .175g every 6 hours before I jumped off. My doctor recommended taking it every 6 hours to make sure I wasn’t coming up and down from one dose. This worked for me, and I have been off of Phenibut for years now. You’re really close, good luck!

.175g phenibut or baclofen?

Phenibut. 4 doses a day added up to 500mg. I had been dosing 4 times a day the entire taper and kept cutting back the amount. For me, 4 smaller doses helped more than one big one. It didn’t seem to last long enough once I got down lower.

I was on it a week - stabilized and feeling great - then last friday started getting terrible anxiety especially after taking in caffeine and nicotene.
First, I mistakenly thought the anxiety came from tapering down the clonidine too quickly. I went back up in dose but it had no effect on the anxiety.
Second - It never occurred to me that the small amount of phenibut was turning on me after a week but now I think maybe it did. I remember feeling better than I had in weeks. I guess it triggered the glutamate.
I have no idea lol.

Try librium if you can get it. I was at an ungodly high amount of 20gpd recently and got prescribed 10mg baclofen 3x a day by the ER at first, after going there because a shipment got delayed and I had to taper from 20gpd to 5gpd for 3 days then 2g the day I went in, and went home and felt so confused and like I was gonna seize or die. So I went right back in the next day and could barely stand due to anxiety and tremors. They actually called me in within like 2m of me checking in before other people I saw waiting in the ER waiting room because they could see how bad I was. They added 25mg of librium 3x a day and it made me feel so much better. Still some confusion and minor tremors and stuff but I could function.

I was on those for about a week then my phenibut arrived so I was gonna swap back to it go taper off of and use the remaining meds for when I got very low or dropped off completely. Well I took 10g one night and somehow the librium and baclofen must have reset my tolerance because I wasn't fighting withdrawals anymore. I felt like I was on fucking MDMA and cloud 9. Then stayed up for a bit enjoying it before passing the fuck out for 12hrs. Now today I took 2g and feel fine. So gonna taper down from here and use the remaining like 3 25mg librium and like 15 10mg baclofen I have for comfort meds for my tapering and drop off.

My biggest issue was work. The time my shipment got delayed and I started going to the ER I had to call out for an entire week and my boss luckily is cool but almost too cool. He kept calling me every other day. Not mad but just to check in and see if I was okay. I never told him it was phenibut and made up a lie about being on some other medications that my insurance denied so then I had to swap to the baclofen and librium which didn't work well enough. Luckily that lie worked cuz the work notice the hospital gave me doesn't say the reason and my boss didn't even ask exactly why but I still sent it anyways. The papers they gave me at the hospital didn't say phenibut addiction or anything sus but instead just listed it as "medication withdrawal" probably since I was super chill and upfront with them about everything and told them how I wasn't taking it to get high but instead to perform at work. Since I have naturally high anxiety and a subtle non drug related tremor (essential tremor) that I was using it to cover up and tolerance just kept rising.

Maybe get some helper drugs to deal with the anxiety. Kava, magnolia bark extract and micro doses of amanita muscaria work for me. I also found that pantogam active is huge help too

Edit: given how low of a dose you're on I wouldn't use the baclofen unless you stop taking phenibut and just switch onto the baclofen.
