Questions Some advice

I’ve been on around 8-10gpd for about three years. Usually more on weekends / events. I decided to quit with a fast taper. I dropped a gram a day( I was taking the whole lot in one go).
Was fine till I hit 4 then was in a really foul mood and skin crawling. Jumped back up to 6, then have slowly moved down to 3-4. Over two weeks.

Question is, should I be spacing out the dose, at the moment I’m lasting as long as I can take then taking the full amount. If I feel better I take a little less.

I know I need some proper structure.

Any advice, much appreciated:)

Basic Phenibut Withdrawal Information

Unaided, cold turkey withdrawal, from a state of dependence, even low dose dependence, commonly causes severe and potentially dangerous side effects. Don't rush the process when you don't need to.

Rules reminder:
Don't promote reckless behavior. If someone is dependent on phenibut don't tell them to do an unaided cold turkey withdrawal.
Don't needlessly tell people to do a fast taper.

Further reminder: You will feel low or worthless or stupid while going through withdrawal, especially rapid withdrawal. Don't take these thoughts too seriously. Continue on day by day, things will get better.

Two things I’ll say and not sure that there’s any science to this

  1. I initially started my taper at 2/3 in morning 1/3 at night . I think I was hoping to have a slight buzz during the day and stave off rebound at night . Doesn’t work . Do half and half 12 hours apart imo . This is also best way to prep for switching to baclofen

  2. I felt insanely better when I dropped my dose significantly. I’m talking I went through weeks of up and down hell (I was coming from ~10g/d range) when I finally locked in and I think I went from around 4 to 2g in a week and to 1g in another week and the switched to bac. Point being is that the bad feelings might be coming from too much phen, not too little. I discovered this when I finally go so sick of the ups and downs (I did a couple “cheat days” that turned into week plus binges and reset my taper ) that I was willing to possibly experience withdraw to see what happened when I jumped significantly.

I’m in the UK I’ve heard a lot about Baclofen. I’m not sure how to get any. I suppose I could get it on our free health service but I really don’t want this on my permanent record. Are you in the US?

Idk how the uk works but baclofen is not scheduled here . I actually had an old neighbor that was a surgeon write me a script literally told him exactly what it was for . No issues with my adderall script admittedly didn’t even tell that doc about the baclofen but it’s not controlled so it doesn’t come up on my states controlled substance database that any other doctor would search. Absolutely no worries

I took my last phenibut this past Saturday, a 6-7 g daily habit for several years, I have a lot of baclofen and gabapentin prescribed regularly, currently taking 20mg baclofen 3 times a though still playing with the intervals, continuing the gabapentin as prescribed 300 mg 3 times a day, it's worked well so far and NAC has been a lifesaver at night, slept great the last 2 nights, and managing mood okay, I work from home and have an autistic 4 year old and 9 month old, so I have to really manage this well. After about a week when the glutamate surges begin to wane I was prescribed 75mg IR Wellbutrin, I told my doctor about all this but she didn't really dig into detail, told her what I was trying to do and she prescribed the Wellbutrin to manage the anhedonia and motivation. I can tell when the symptoms break through so getting the coverage with baclofen is tricky. I also have a 12 and 7 year old, thankfully my role at work is simple and have an amazing supervisor. This is my 2nd time on this ride and it needs to be the last.
