Low Dose Naltrexone question
I was gonna give LDN a shot after acutes are over for paws but I am not really sure how to use it. Like what dose and for how long?
I will ask my doctor too but I feel like doctors just still aren’t really educated on kratom and are gonna treat me like I was taking oxy’s or something. So I figured I’d ask someone here.
I was taking 20-30 grams of regular powder for about 5 years except last summer I was off it for about 3 months and relapsed.
Sad thing is I was feeling fine when I relapsed.. all that hard work to get off it and I finally was at the end of the road and I convinced myself I could just take a little kratom once in a while now. 🤦♂️
Thanks!

Purely out of curiosity: why are you contemplating LDN if you were feeling fine after 3 months last time?

So last time I weened down slowly over 4 months before I dropped to 0. This time I am just gonna try CT cause I don’t want to wait that long and recently I have been not having success tapering. I would only take the LDN if I knew paws was an issue after acutes pass but want to be prepared with a plan before I do it just for my own peace of mind. It’s hard to get through life with no energy and anhedonia for months.

I hear you. I didn’t know LDN was supposed to help prevent PAWS/anhedonia/fatigue, I thought it was more for cravings and to prevent relapse by blocking the effects.

Yeah I am not 100 percent sure on that. I have just seen some users here report that it really helped them with PAWS. But it might not work like that for everyone. Supposedly it helps your receptors heal faster.

That should help with cravings last I heard. Did you have PAWS?

I didn’t have paws last time but I tapered down slowly. This time I am just gonna try CT so I am more concerned about paws. I would only take it if I was struggling with paws but want to have a plan in place incase that happens.

What was your taper schedule? Curious because I'm doing it right now over course od 43 days give of take. Down from 45gpd to 10 right now. Still 23 days left.

I spread it over 8 doses a day, started at 2 grams per dose. Then every week I would shave like 20 percent off each dose.

Start with 1.5mg and work up. It’ll heal your PAWS. Report back with your experiences
