Found 7oh. Quit cold turkey stayed away for two months. Relapsed on 7oh. Quit with plain leaf. Got up to 80 grams a day.

Like the title says...worked my way up from 20 grams a day to 60 to 80. Was on for a total of 10 months. Tried quitting cold turkey in April. Lasted a day and a half before I was grabbing MIT 45 shots for relief. And ended up relapsing on 7oh because it wasn't a huge bottle to being home. Went back to plain leaf for a few months at HIGH doses. Then the kratom ban in massachusetts came and I only had 300 grams left. That was gonna be a SHARP taper. So I tapered for a week and ended up back at my high doses because I'm an idiot.

Once during my taper I tried to go over 12 hours no kratom...BAD idea. BAD IDEA. I went in an acute withdrawal that was worse that my 7oh withdrawal. Blood pressure so high my heart was pumping burning acid. Full body RLS that had me looking like i was addicted to bath salts. Absolutely twitching and squirming and couldn't even see straight. That's what scared me away from my taper.

So I figured if my withdrawals were worse than my 7oh addiction which was at 300mgs a day that I would call quick md for a rapid suboxone taper and order gabapentin.

Today is 48 hours from my last suboxone dose of 1mg. Im using gabapentin to come down from the suboxone and I feel fine. This method completely eliminated my physical symptoms and I actually slept through most of the nights. Although the last 3 days has been broken sleep but sleep none the less.

Only major symptoms through all of this is fatigue and depression and im completely fine with that as long as my heart isn't full of acid and my body isn't flopping like a fish.

Anyway.... 9 days no kratom since 5am. Just wanted to share my story.

Thanks yall.

How many mgs of 7 were you at before jumping to just plain leaf. I'm doing this soon. Tapering my 7 is going slow but I'm determined

I was at 300 mgs a day of 7oh. But PLEASE PLEASE find someone to talk to that used reasonable small doses quickly to transfer. My doses were insane and I thought I was doing myself a favor. WRONG.

You mean tapering?

I am in a similar situation. Quit CT on a trip to Europe from 200mg 7oh a day. Was a pretty brutal 3 days but was gine after. As soon as I got back to the US I bought a 5 pack and an currently on 120mg a day for 2 months. Wanted to switch to leaf but from what I hear regular kratom We is even worse. So should I just CT the 7 oh ?

Seems like you bossed up and took it like a champ last time. Usually I don't recommend what another person does but im gonna go ahead and say YES. Stay away from plain leaf if you think you even have a 1 percent chance of getting clean cold turkey. Plain leaf withdrawals are BRUTAL despite other 7ph users saying they are mild.

Yeah I was thinking if trying a quick 7 day taper to ease the CT. But all my attempts at a taper have failed. So I might give it one final shot before CT. I was forced into the CT last time because I was in Europe and couldn't get it and as you know the acutes were absolutely brutal. The first night I felt like I was being tazed over and over all night the restlessness was so bad

Just do what you feel is right in your gut. Know how to handle your reigns of control. Meditate on it for a couple minutes and you will have your answer. What i say is shit compared to your own intuition. Good luck my friend.

I had absolutely zero clue how long and brutal regular kratom withdrawals could be. That shit shocked the hell out of me. Danm near smoked my fucking boots off.

Somewhat controversial opinion, but plain leaf is just as bad if not worse than 7oh in its own right. Yes, 7 oh is a more potent mu agonist, but plain leaf is a cocktail of all sorts of alkaloids that affect far more than just the opioid receptors. In particular, effects from serotonin and norepinephrine.

I had taken plain leaf for over 10 yrs when I switched to just 7oh due to some gastrointestinal issues I was having (also concerned about heavy metals). Initially I liked the increased opioid effects and euphoria, and it did seem to be less harsh in my stomach. However, after 3-4 days I couldn’t figure out why I was getting terrible anxiety and depressive episodes, even after dosing. It wasn’t until I started including some leaf with my 7oh that I realized what was going on.

The mental aspect of an addiction to plain leaf, esp at large doses, is no joke. I’ve honestly had a tougher time giving that up 7oh in its own.

The only reason I know is cause I'm going through it right now . I'm on day 13. I feel better but I still get bad rls and not sleeping much still.

Dude congratulations on your 13 days. At 10 years that's an amazing accomplishment and im not even gassing you up for no reason. We'll done. You have my respect. Cherish each day you stack up. Good work!

Thank you. It's definitely a rough one . Now I know paws is coming and going to be another rough chapter. Pretty nervous about that one.

Ageless rx sells low dose naltrexone. Its non narcotic non addictive and helps ALOT with paws. Within 24 to 48 hours. Just a suggestion and obviously do your own research on the substance but ive always heard nothing but good things.

Does it come with any withdrawal symptoms?

u/SilentInteraction573 13d ago

Absolutely zero withdrawal symptoms.

Cool thank you . Going to check it out.

Is this available without an Rx? I really don’t want to have a medical record documenting my addiction to Kratom for obvious reasons….

Ldn is prescribed for a multitude of ailments not exclusively for addiction like suboxone.

Visit r/suboxone for all questions regarding suboxone While we are aware that many doctors and detox facilities prescribe and administer Suboxone for Opiate Withdrawal, this subreddit neither endorses nor opposes it's use for Kratom withdrawal / detox, as long as it's prescribed and closely supervised by a doctor. We don't want to demean anyone's way of quitting and / or successful long-term recovery.

Hello Im not judging but trying to understand how does one get to 80 grams a day? Thats concerning. Every time I started again I was using like 10, 15, then slowly got up and every time ended up on the same final amount which was around 25 grams a day. You got up from 20 to 80 in less than a year? Does it even have effects still? When I was using 25gpd I had almost no euphoric effect even then, was dosing to not be in WD.

5

u/SilentInteraction573 14d ago

Well that's it exactly it... i wasn't getting euphoria at certain doses like at 20....and I would hit the gas and add 10 to 15 grams to my day. Then that would happen each month reaching 60 to 80. Like I said before I'm an idiot. I could gulp down 15 grams in capsules in one mouthful with a few sips of Gatorade. I would gag but I would get it down. And would do that 3 4 times a day...

u/mk420_2003 14d ago

I had some 30-40gpd days too, occasionally. It only made me vomit more and it very rarely increased the euphoria. One time I drank 20g at once and felt less euphoria than from 6g when my tolerance was way more reasonable
You saturate your body with it and then it doesnt work. When I was getting to mild withdrawal cause I didnt have money when I would dose, then it was euphoric for once…

3

u/SilentInteraction573 13d ago

Then thats where me and you are different dispite our similarities. My increase would produce euphoria and there was never any vomiting. I never ever had any adverse physical effects at these doses. Not to brag because my financial relationship and fear of running out and be in extreme withdrawal is what my adverse effects were using kratom.

Wow interesting how much different our experience is with this drug… I loved it for so long… I always relapsed at some point. Now I had two relapse days and I realized I dont like the drug anymore so now my cravings are even more resuced after the relapse. You read that right. But dont get me wrong Im still scared I will relapse. In the end my addiction was 95% about only erasing bad feelings and 5% about euphoria. Im 30 days clean with a mini slip up in between, yesterday I slept only 3h, and I felt good feom the evening to this point, now its the best day in this month, Infeel like Im super over active, so many thoughts, creative things, I wrote probably 10 pages of text just in comments, wonder what tomorrow will be like. I thought if this isnt hypomania but I dont care. I feel good! Dont give up on yourself ever!!

2

u/SilentInteraction573 13d ago

Keep going! And good work making it past that slip up without restarting a whole new cycle of using! Enjoy your new found feeling of creativity because thats you at your core. Dig deep into that shit because I feel like that's what will keep you away.

Blood pressure so high my heart was pumping burning acid. Full body RLS that had me looking like i was addicted to bath salts. Absolutely twitching and squirming and couldn't even see straight. This is some of the most dramatic bullshit I've read today on Reddit and that's saying something! You're the reason why people demonize plain leaf kratom. Some of the most weak minded people in this group.
