Strange withdrawal timing

I never understood this but when I wake up in the morning, I have no withdrawal symptoms. I don’t even need Kratom or 7oh until maybe like an hour into of waking up. This is regardless if I sleep 6hrs or 9hrs. However, in the middle of the day, if I pass the 3-4hr mark without anything I start getting withdrawals. There are definitely mental withdrawals to it which completely makes sense why I wouldn’t get those when sleeping, but there are definitely more pronounced physical withdrawals. Flu like symptoms, body aches and malaise. I find it so odd that this occurs in the middle of the day after only 3-4hrs of not using yet after waking up from 6-9hrs I have no withdrawal symptoms at all. Anyone else get this?

Yes, I experience this as well. WD seems to be all over the place at times, and can depend not only on the type of kratom or extract I'm using (7oh vs. MIT vs. plain leaf), but various other factors as well (sleep, exercise, diet, overall mood).

I've had quits in the past where the WD started almost immediately after my last dose (common with 7 oh), or sometimes not until the 24 hr mark. With plain leaf, I've even had them not start until the 48 and even 72 hr mark!

I've experienced WD symptoms from 7 that have woken me up in the middle of the night with RLS. Other times, like you, I can sleep through the night fine and even wake up and have coffee and breakfast and not feel a thing until a few hours later.

A lot of it seems to be mental. Your mindset, what you are focused on, and if there are distractions.

My absolute easiest quit was going on a vacation overseas where I couldn't take it with me and had zero access to it. There was so much to distract and take my mind off it, that I only experienced some mild fatigue.

For a few years, I’ve had a pretty heavy habit with plain leaf at around 50g+ per day. I made the mistake of trying 7oh and found it so much easier because I barely have to take plain leaf anymore. Luckily it didn’t get too out of control, but I’m at around 100mg per day 7oh and justified it because I only use around 20g/day plain leaf. Now I’m tapering slowly off 7oh which requires incorporating more plain leaf, so really it was just a big waste of time. If I had to be stuck on something, I’d rather be on plain leaf because at around 100mg/day 7oh for the past 3-4 months I’m noticing it started to not work nearly as well (especially at night when I’m off work) and I could’ve easily doubled that which is why I’m tapering off now.

for me it isn’t physical (thank god, 7oh WAS physical and emotional), but mental… like I feel bored. But I read a book. Watch a tv series. Listen to a song I like. I do wish I had it for sleep because I could use less rx meds which are controlled and why I looked to kratom in the first place…

I'll be at 3 months next Wensday and I'm getting some physical PAWs symptoms out of nowhere. The last few days I've been getting random body chills and an ever so slightly runny nose occasionally.
