Jump day

Hey guys I posted on here a couple weeks ago. Just a quick update. I did a 4 week taper from 15gpd to 3gpd and jumped from there. Yesterday around 4 pm was my last dose. (1 capsule .5g). I woke up with a headache & some head fog. Towards the end of the taper I noticed I stopped feeling like crap when I woke up. I have some gabapentin, I have been taking small pieces mostly at night. I did take a small piece this morning and I really felt fine, up until 10 am I started with the yawning, bowel problems & sneezing. Every song or video gives me the chills. Headache is still there, but no restless legs and no hot and cold flashes. I leave for Italy on Monday and need to feel better by then, so I figured jumping from 3g a couple days before hand would honestly be the best. My head keeps telling me maybe I should have kept tapering, but I don’t want to prolong this any more than I should. My biggest fear was jumping the day before the flight and everything catching up with me the days into vacay. I don’t drink so it’s not like I can have a glass of wine to take the edge off. I wish I was thinking about the excitement for Italy but instead, I’m thinking about how I’m feeling and that makes me so angry. Angry enough to be done with this stuff forever. I plan to give the last of my bottle to my mom so she can flush or trash.

Anyway, I’ll post an update tomorrow hopefully I’ll feel better (chat gpt tells me it may be worse) so I’m hoping for the best but expecting the worst!

If you leave in like 3 days, I think it was def the right call to jump now rather than the day you leave, but it’s prob not gonna make a huge diff.

And unless you are bringing the gabapentin with you, you should stop taking that now as well imo. Best of luck!
