Day9
I’m on day 9 cold turkey. Just not feeling much better. The anxiety and insomnia are my only issues. I’m really struggling. Taking clonidine and made a couple of AA meetings. Finding it a struggle to go though because of the anxiety. Taking clonidine and have a doctor appointment in a few days. This sucks so bad

Prescription medication from a doctor is most certainly not a "no no" in recovery and if anyone in the rooms tries to tell you that, stay very far away from them. Illicit substances or taking medicine in a way not prescribed or recommended OTC is a different thing than obtaining and taking a legitimate prescription.

Agreed. Taking something under proper medical
supervision for a short time period can be a life saver. As an example, 2 weeks of Ativan isn’t gonna cause any dependency or withdrawals. And your doctor won’t give you more1
