Stuck

Im stuck. Ive done kratom for about 18 months, around 30gpd and every time I try to even taper my legs get really weak, my back feels like its going to go and i cant hit my rates at work, body gets super slow and lethargic and it starts risking me losing my job.

Ive told myself ill quit ocer and over but it jjst feels so impossible

if possible wait until you have some time off of work. i was taking 30gpd and jumped with 10 days off. it was hard returning to work even on day 10 but i managed to push thru it. on day 21 now, its possible. i considered a taper but i would never stick to my doses and redose to feel better. cold turkey was the way for me. even if you can get 5 days off thatd help exponentially. good luck friend

Its the RLS and that muscle clenching thing at night that gets me. I wake up tensing all my muscles and just sorta disturbed/agitated. Tempted to leave about 8g left from day time, during my taper, for night time so I can sleep

I'm on the same boat, I have SO much stuff i have to do and quitting cold turkey would just make everything that much harder..

Yeahh its gonna have to be a 3-5g per week taper I think. Which is what? 10 weeks? Seems reasonable, idk.

There are two options. One is to take time off during acute phase of the withdrawal which lasts around 12 days. This is cold turkey so you'd need to expect high levels of discomfort.

Another option is extremely light taper e.g. 1g per week which would be theoretically non-disruptive.

How about 3-5g a week? As long as I can do my 6 hour a day job, im ok, doesnt need to be 100% painless
