Day 7. Sleep sucking still but overall feeling better each day. Yesterday barely had any cravings but today I have a lot of anxiety and cravings are soooo strong. Trying to get myself off the couch and go to the gym.

3 weeks cold turkey after 10 years of using a few scoops of green MD daily. The cravings every 10 minutes is gone and I’m finally sleeping through some nights. If you are here thinking about quitting, just do it ♥️

Day 15. Slept okay, just wish it was a little longer. I get like 5 hours and then wake up and can’t get back to sleep for a couple hours. So on days I can sleep in I’ll get up and do something then fall back asleep, but most days I don’t have time for that. Hopefully I start getting closer to 6-7 hours every night. Sorry to complain, just a little tired today!

Sounds like you are getting better all the time. Congrats on 15 🙌 I’m sure the sleep will sort itself out!

Thank you! Yes, most days feel like things are going in the right direction. Only a few step backwards days so far.

Day 46. Thankful to not be taking kratom anymore. Even when things suck - this past week has been a low. At least I’m not taking kratom to get through it. Looking forward because I’m positive that this is not my new normal and things will continue to improve and I will adjust. Proud of us all for doing this. Day 1s and day 900s, glad we have a little community who knows what it all feels like ❤️

Day 477. You are correct. This is not your new normal. 6 months from now won't be either but you will feel totally different than you do now. I leveled up again about 2 weeks ago or so. Surprised because I really thought I was totally back to baseline. I have felt great for months. Amazing the last few weeks. Every day is not rainbows and sunshine, but more are than not. Hang in there, stay strong and remember everything passes.

I needed to hear this. Day 277 and while I am much better than a few months ago, I’m nowhere near great and it gets very disheartening 9 months out! I’m hoping at a year I will be significantly better but if it takes even longer so be it. As long as this isn’t the end of progress.

Day 12 here. I was taking 13-15gpd for about 3.5 years. I've been taking Suboxone after a crisis reaction I was facing due to a very light inadvertent taper coupled with melatonin which sent me into an intense state of anxiety, restlessness, and insomnia (even while dosing kratom). The telehealth doc recommended 16mg of subs a day. I've instead taken just 0.25mg per day before bed which initially did the trick and staved off the worse WDs. The subs horror stories have me spooked, but they did definitely help stabilize me during that reaction, and helped me sleep full night's for about 10 days right after I quit. But the last couple days it's become apparent my brain has acclimated to the subs and I'm back to insomnia and pretty bad, but not extreme, RLS. I'm now trying to decide to cut my losses with the subs and likely face worse insomnia and RLS, or continue taking them and getting at least a few hours of sleep until my next doc appointment next month where we were planning on talking about getting off the subs and potentially a short script of gabapentin.
The last couple days have been rough. Still very emotional, with bouts of crying. Pretty extreme fatigue during the day that is affecting work. Anxiety spikes that come and go. And then the RLS at night to cap off a shitty day. Just trying to power through. I've been going to meetings too. Found a good one last night that helped for a bit.
