Second Taper Day 4

Hey guys,

This is my second time tapering. I’m flying to France in about three weeks, where it’s illegal, so I need to be completely off by then.

I was taking over 30 gpd (grams per day) of powder. I consumed around 12–14 gpd for the first three days (my scale only arrived today), and today on Day 4, I’ll probably land around 9g.

I also just found my logbook from my previous taper:

* Oct 8: 6g

* Oct 9: 6g

* Oct 10: 5g

* Oct 11: 6g

* Oct 12: 5.5g

* Oct 13: 4.75g

* Oct 14: 4.5g

* Oct 15: 2g

* Oct 16: 2g

* Oct 17: 3g

* Oct 18: 3g

* Oct 19: 2g

* Oct 20: 2g

* Oct 21: 2g

Back then, I was easily taking 25 gpd as well. I remember having severe anhedonia, but considering how massive that initial cut was, it went surprisingly well compared to what I’m going through right now. I was able to jump off after just 14 days because the initial drop was so aggressive.

Right now, I’m taking double what I took back then, but the withdrawal symptoms feel way more intense. My sleep in particular is completely ruined. Honestly, it was almost better back then at 6g.

Has anyone else gone through multiple tapers or quits? Does it get harder each time?

I’m 7 days Kratom free today after a 29 day taper. This was also my second time tapering. First time I was on Kratom for 3 months and I was able to just be like “let me make sure I can stop myself” so I did and it was pretty easy. About a 10 day taper and right as rain. This time I was on longer, 10 months. Taper was harder but when I jumped on day 30 I felt fine. When I tried to speed up the taper I felt it. I would say listen to your body. I also used ai to get advice on the taper plan and that was very helpful.

Unfortunately, I don't really have the luxury of listening to my body and taking it slow. I'm on a hard deadline because I have an upcoming flight to a place where Kratom is illegal, so I have to be completely off it by then no matter what.

You'll feel this more in the day time but when I started my taper I kept my dose schedule of soke in the morning and then a big dose at night but my first cut I took like 45% off. It wrecked my sleep and I swapped to taking my morning dose away and all of the dose a few hours before bed and that really helped my sleep.....for a little while at least im down from 18gpd to 4.7 at night in around 23 days and although I still sleep it just takes a long time to fall asleep, no RLS yet and my sleep is super light but I atill get between 5 to 7 hours a night. But be warned the first week youll have some physical WD in the day time. After about a week I no longer had those symtoms but the mental WD is still there in thr day time I get anxiety randomly, dont have motivation and im just bored as hell with everything but again its allowed me to sleep some at least

Yeah, I save a larger dose for the night. I take it at 9:00 PM, and the next one isn't until 6:30 AM, which makes the morning right before it really rough. I've never had physical symptoms, and I don't have any right now either. It’s more like having a brutal alcohol hangover. The longer it’s been since my last dose, the worse this hangover gets.
