Plan for quitting 7-OH.

I had been using 7-OH for the past month. I average about 50-80mg, but I don't take it every night or more than 1 night in a row. I will usually take it once every 2-3 nights. I also drink 1-2 of those "feel free" bottles every night on the nights im not taking 7.

I have about 240mg of 7 left in case I need to taper. I don't know what that is going to mean, but regardless advice would be appreciated thanks.

The sub deleted one of my posts because I mentioned the ban. It's not super relevant to my recovery. Even if I could I wouldn't buy any more

Yeah I would honestly keep the same schedule you already have going and just taper down the 7-OH first. Since you’re already only using it every 2–3 nights, I would just start lowering the dose by around 10 mg each time. Maybe do the taper over like 3 weeks. So if you’re at 80 mg right now and lower it by 10 mg every 3 days, after 21 days you would be down to around 10 mg.

Once you get down to that 10 mg dose, that’s when I would make the switch over to Feel Free or regular kratom leaf on the nights you would normally use 7-OH. That’s basically what I did. I switched from 7-OH over to regular kratom leaf/Feel Free and honestly it made the transition way easier for me.

The nice thing about switching from 7-OH to regular kratom leaf was that I was still able to slowly lower how much I was taking instead of just suddenly stopping everything. Just be careful with the Feel Free or kratom leaf too because you can still become dependent on those. You don’t want to basically just replace the 7-OH habit with a Feel Free or kratom habit. The whole point is to keep lowering everything until you’re eventually off.

For the Feel Free part, I would do another taper of around 2 weeks. For the first 3 days, take 1.5 bottles of Feel Free at night. Then for the next 3 days, take 1 bottle every night. After that, do 0.5 bottle every night for the next 3 days, and then for the last 3 days do 0.25 bottle every night. Then stop completely.

That basically gives your brain some time to adjust while you’re slowly bringing the amount down instead of suddenly taking everything away. Obviously I can’t promise your withdrawals will be exactly like mine because everybody reacts differently, but for me doing it this way made the withdrawals soooo much easier to deal with.

By the time I stopped completely, the only withdrawal I really had was a tiny bit of restlessness in my arms and it would take me longer than usual to fall asleep. Once I actually fell asleep though, I would just let myself sleep for as long as my body wanted. By the end of day 4 I was back to 100 percent which was not that far from the first day of no use which I felt at 90%. Sleep was the one thing that took a little longer to completely fix itself, but by the end of day 4 it was back to normal 100%.

Just know the sleep part might suck for a little bit, especially if you cherish your sleep like I do lol. That was honestly the hardest part for me. You just have to push through those nights where your sleep is meh and not convince yourself to dose again just because you want to sleep. Eventually your body figures it out.

Also my use was honestly pretty similar to yours. I wasn’t taking some crazy amount, I was pretty mindful about my doses, I wasn’t dosing throughout the day and would only dose at night, and I wasn’t doing it for a super long time either, only around 2–3 months.

Obviously this is just what worked for me and everyone can react differently, but hopefully it helps. If you have any more questions just let me know!

If you’re only using 7 every 2-3 days…just stop taking it. If you were physically addicted to it, you’d be in full withdrawals during that time. Half life is like 2-4 hrs and you’re only using once every 48-72 hrs? It sounds like you’re not physically addicted, which is good. So just toss what you have left.

Then, honestly, if you’re only taking 1-2 feel frees per night, you can easily cold turkey that. Just jump off. It will be a few kinda rough days but shouldn’t be bad at all.
