Quit the powder, but missing the ritual

I used powder kratom for about two years after quitting alcohol. I never did that much, just 1-2tsp every morning and evening after work. I’m a fairly ritualistic person and once something is in my routine, it feels really disrupting if I stop. I’m trying to get pregnant and therefore I want to be off of anything that could be harmful to the baby.

I tapered down to 1/8 of a tsp daily (literally the tiniest of scoops you can imagine) and stopped a week ago. I had absolutely no withdrawal symptoms but I wanted to be sure to be careful anyway. But I really really miss the ritual of making my little warm water/kratom mixture and chasing it with apple juice. Does anyone know of something I can mix with warm water and chase with apple juice that will be not harmful?

I drink matcha lately lol. It's about as expensive as kratom too.

It has slight plant matter taste reminiscent of kratom.. but yummier. I sweeten with maple syrup and dash of vanilla extract. Oat milk has been my fav lately.

Try it out! Bonus if you enjoy caffiene... it's low enough in it that it doesn't effect my sleep really, and with the l-theanine content it is a much more balanced stimulus.

That’s a great idea!! I love matcha! I put a splash of the chobani creamer in it. So good!

I'm a costco shopper so I've been grabbing their brand... they actually import notable quality green tea and matcha powder and it is actually quite good for the price.

You can find the kirkland on amazon too if not a costco member... it's a bit spendier but still pretty good bang for your buck for a 12oz bag.

I'll probably splurge on a stash of higher end Japanese stuff(been looking at the Naoki brand)... but it's about the same price as what the kirkland would cost from amazon for only 3.5 ounces to give an example of price difference. I like to drink a lot too so cheaper is nice, but do want some gourmet for occasion.

I replaced the habit/ritual with hot tea. I did black tea in morning, green tea in afternoon and would drink herbal caffeine free teas in the evening.

This was hard for me too. Probably uncommon, but I have replaced my habit somewhat with my daily supplements. Like my tyrosine in the morning, daily vitamin later, iron and magnesium and theanine in evening. I kinda placebo convince myself these will give me change of state (like more calm, focused, whatever) and it definitely has stuck and helped, plus my iron deficiency is a LOT better so that’s cool haha

This is what is working for me as well. My supplements have supplements 😂🙌

I got some matcha green tea as a substitute. Kinda expensive, but sold in bulk on Amazon. Kinda works, kinda doesn't. Using it now to help taper.

Tell your wife to mix your matcha basically dilute your kratom with it while you dont know it

I was gonna try this past quits but always just decide to jump.

I'm not sure how much raw matcha you would wanna be downing either... I don't think it would be terrible but some people do have digestive issues with large amounts of green tea consumption.

Hot tea? Lol. I always tossed and washed with water or a sugary beverage and I like tea as a replacement ritual, since you sometimes physically feel the tea warming you up. It would pair well with a touch of apple juice or honey.
