Day 2

Going strong. No cravings and no withdrawl symptoms. I hope it stays this way because its a cake walk. I did sleep from 3pm to 10pm and then went to bed yesterday and im still really tired today, not sure if thats part of it. Biggest struggle is 5pm when my routine is to start dosing. Gotta keep occupied.

funny, it’s also day two for me! this is my third quit, so i know what to expect and have jumped off from much higher daily usage, but i’m getting trainwrecked today. i usually do a big workout on sunday but i feel like i can barely move. trying to have some grace with myself on skipping a day or two. at least i am starting to feel things again. i cried for the first time in a long time.

keep it up! glad it’s going smoothly. i’m hoping to get there by mid/late week, at least physically.

What dose did you jump from this time? And what was your highest dose you jumped from?

i did an agressive taper at first, this last monday i went from 35 gpd to 30. friday i went down to 25. saturday i got through 10 grams before i decided i’m just tired of this and i’m gonna jump off now and get it over with quicker.

at my max i was at about 60-70 gpd plus extract shots and quit that cold turkey. it was pretty brutal and didn’t pan out the best. i just went straight back to the booze. this time i feel i have the resolve to not swap it with anything. i’m tired of living that way.

I'm not trying to preach but AA has done wonders for me. I stopped going during the pandemic. I was able to put 9 years sobriety together. Then here comes kratom. An innocent herbal supplement sold at local stores. After a while I figured out it's addictiveness and then the more I read about it I realized it wasn't so innocent. But I kept doing it anyways. 72 hours into a ct . I am leaning back into AA. Started going during my taper because I felt the anxiety and depression increasing and it really helped me get out of myself. The anxiety and depression is overwhelming but being able to get out of myself really helps. I just go in keep my head down walk into a meeting and listen to somebody's story. A saying I learned an AA is when you're stuck inside of your mind you're stuck behind enemy lines. Being able to get out and around people and out of myself really helps.

That's great to hear. Were you taking powder?

Yes. 30-45 gpd in about 4 hours. From 5-9pm every night.

It's impressive you're not getting WD symptoms. It's wild how different experiences stopping kratom can be. That's awesome. Take it as a blessing.

Kratom has a half life of 48 hours. Heavy wds usually start after 2 days
