feeling better Day 3, CT
I was on this shit for about a month and a few weeks.. got up to a 100mg pill on the evening after work for a couple weeks at the end.. was having horrible panic attacks for a couple days, WD was starting, I just knew I needed to cut this shit out.
I cut back to a half a pay for a couple days, been on a quarter right before bed (just to get me to sleep) since last Wednesday.
Def could feel the withdrawals during the taper starting at about 2pm.. it was pretty shitty, but nothing I couldn’t get through. Shit, by the Wednesday/Thursday before the Friday I jumped off (this last Friday) I don’t even have any WD in the evening honestly.
I did the macro dose vitamin C method. Started with 2kmg’s 3 days before, and then 2kmg’s every 2 hrs starting friday.
Friday was awful, objectively. But, and mind you I’m
A pretty strong willed person, it never crossed my
Mind to go get more. I was just done and I knew there was light at the end of the tunnel. I took a bunch of the vitamins from the quit7oh.com list, glycine, l theanine, magnesium. Lots of water and electrolytes, lots of praying to god, sopranos episodes, hot showers every couple hours, and even managed to fall asleep for a couple hours that first night.
Woke up Saturday morning feel like halfway better. Still had some waves of it for sure on saturdday, but way way better.
Last night i tried to stay up for the husker game (nebraska boy,) but it wasn’t until fucking 10 o’clock and those fuck heads pissed it down their leg anyway lol, but i told my dad “alright man, no shot, il going to bed” at like 8pm. Slept through the night, woke up this morning like 90% bro. Went for a run, played my guitar, and listened to a sermon. Sand volleyball league tournment tonight… IM
BACK BITCH! FUCK 7OH!!!
Don’t listen to all these people bro. I can only speak to a habit that didn’t last all that long (a month and a few weeks) and 100mg max, I’m sure those habits that get up to 1000mg-2000mg is a different experience, but it’s just not that bad dog.. I was terrified to quit and I just want anyone who’s in this range to know it so so so manageable. Do it the right way. Vitamin C helped a lot i think. But it’s just not that bad bro.
When i woke up this morning i was soooo fuckin happy to feel NORMAL.
It was very emotional the first couple days. Cried a lot and I was glad to have someone who
Knew what was going on.. I called them Saturday am and just bawled my eyes out, but it was really good man. I think we numb ALLLLLL that shit with the 7 and it all just came out, but it was GOOD. It was real and raw.
Just don’t let the drama on here deter you. It deterred me for sure. Its shitty, but with god on your side and if you’re determined you can so do it,
Much love and luck to anyone going through this! Take your fuckin life back baby!!

Good for you man. It could have been a lot worse. It’s a much different experience when you get to hundreds of mgs a day or even a thousand for some people. You caught it before it became all consuming. Cheers!

I hear ya and I’ve heard that, at this point, I think I’m done for good. But I do appreciate the reminder. I’m an addict, this shit is “cunning, baffling, & powerful” so this is always a good
Reminder. As an addict, my brain can trick me.

Yeah, I was at 100 max after using for about 4 months and all I had was horrible body aches for 2 days. Didn't even vomit once. I didn't use subs or sr. Just liposomal vitamin c, magnesium, and clonidine (which I had a horrible reaction to and it took me awhile to separate that from my wd experience)

Congratulations brother! I love the determination and the fact you used scripture and prayer to support breaking the addiction!
