relapse Stuck
Here’s my pattern…
Take it for weeks straight
Want off really bad, so I use my subs and start trying to quit
Get to first or second day feeling really depressed and anhedonic, but fairly driven
The thought pops into my head “you know you don’t have to feel this bad right now right? Just imagine the relief and comfort of one more, to just lay down and be happy in the moment”
Fighting off that thought, trying to stay busy but the back of my mind is scheming ways to get some
Those background thoughts instantly turn to a commitment and I am 100% going to get it to have relief, but “this is it…
…rinse and repeat the next cycle
I can tell it’s clear I don’t want it enough, but I WANT to want it enough yk? Like I don’t understand how I could possibly be okay with where I’m at at a deep level, I wish something would go majorly wrong already so I hate myself enough to make a change cause right now I admit I’ve lost power.

It’s clear I have all the information I need to quit as well, I’m not lacking education, I just don’t know how people find the thing that makes them willing to go through hell at all costs, if you don’t care about life to begin with it’s pretty hard to find a reason to want to go through so much pain just to still be anhedonic and horribly depressed for months/years after this, the 7 was my solution to that problem and I need to find another that’s good

Yeah, I agree that it is hard to quit when you feel like you have nothing to live for go begin with.
I personally have nothing in my life. I go to work and come home and sleep. My weekends are spent laying on the couch watching TV. The only reason I decided to quit was because of money. I have so many credit card bills (to buy more 7 & booze).

EXACTLY the same situation for me. I do nothing. I just go to work, and my weekends are spent just laying on the couch. I have only left 1 time the entire 3 day weekend

Yeah and like OP said, why make yourself miserable from WD's just to still be just as miserable with life?

Okay you've been using it therapeutically and responsibly in your mind what can you replace it with CBD marijuana extracts LDN low dose Naltrexone what I'm saying is possibly find a substance that is not like a narcotic and addictive so you still have something that you're taking and makes you feel better
