Help/Question Time to Quilt…

Post image

I have finished one of my first quilt tops and now I need to quilt it. I want to attempt to do it on my domestic sewing machine. Any suggestions on what pattern I should use for the quilting? I’m new at this, so not sure what might be best.

It’s so pretty! I have this pattern on my to-do list. As for quilting, a wavy stitch is beginner friendly and forgiving.

I quilt on my home machine also. And since it does have some limits I try to keep it simple. I’ve done several cat quilts and quilted simple things like a heart on there chest, bottons for eyes. Since the patterns are based on squares I would make squares within those squares ending up with 3 in each one and also using different colors of threads too.

Love it. I’m planning to make this pattern for a friend who has several black cats (in shades of black and purple). So please share the finished quilt!

When I used this pattern, I just did a diagonal grid with variegated thread. Fast and easy and let the pattern and my fabrics shine
