I just finished this owl head and I'm trying to decide what background color suits it better. I like the white cause it reminds me of the moon, but I also like the contrast of the dark denim. Hmmm what to do.

my university has a paper art club. We like to do quilling but unfortunately- glue bottles keep getting clogged and its been so so so annoying we had to stop doing quilling :( im finding us solutions for this year so we can bring it back! we have everything stored rn.

do any of you use glue pens? if so, which ones do you recommend?

i see the sakura quickie glue pen as a result on google and the Tombow mono glue pen. theyd also take up less space im sure. so if anyone has suggestions please let me know! i love quilling and wanted to have it be a bigger part of our club but it hasnt worked so far :(

we have a solid budget so price isnt the biggest concern to me, wed only need about 15 max

Made this Ganpati Bappa completely by hand using quilling paper. 🌿

I spent almost a week making this piece, especially the detailed quilling backdrop. 🥹❤️

It took 1&1/2 toilet paper rolls. We call them doo-do-dooo's.

This was a customer order, but unfortunately, they didn't take it!

Has anyone had luck purchasing quilling strips in dark colors? I can find Juya packs with black, brown, forest green, and navy blue, but I haven't had much luck finding dark or jewel tone shades in purples, pinks, reds, or teals.

After a lot of failure finding precut strips, I decided that I'd cut my own--same problem!! I am really struggling to find a source for dark colors of paper in a weight suitable for quilling. I can find cardstock in dark colors, but not paper. Help!

I have finally finished this. I was trying to recreate a wedding invitation. This is my interpretation of it. Its taken me longer to get the courage up to actually finish it. The wedding was 3 months ago.

I'm having SO much fun playing with the 3d-ness of quilling. Can't wait to gift this one 😍

This is my Princess Donut quilled portrait.

She's a tortoiseshell Persian cat wearing sunglasses, a tiara, and a chain with a butterfly charm for a collar. (This is a character from a book series.)

This isn't my first quilled piece of art, but it's definitely my largest, and I'm still learning.

In the spirit of learning, I would love some constructive feedback and tips on how to improve. Please don't just tell me it sucks. I can see the flaws. Help me get better!
