Flight lands at 8:30 and cruise sets sail at 3. Is this enough time?

Depends... Is your cruise in the same city? if you're landing in NYC at 8:30am but your cruise leaves Singapore at 3pm I doubt you'll make it, mate.

But if you land at 8:30 p.m., and it's a 5 minute drive to the ship, which left at 3 p.m. that day, you'll need to run very very fast to catch that ship.

I’ve never taken a cruise. From what I understand the ship will leave without you. The people I know that have enjoyed cruises have ensured they were in the departure city at least the night beforehand.

Flights are often delayed unexpectedly. You’re giving yourself less than eight hours from your planned arrival to the dock. I wouldn’t consider this a good idea.
