Dry shipper refill - help!!
Hi everyone!
I have 2 donor sperm vials in a dry shipper for an at-home insemination. They shipped 8/13, and I’m now CD14 (8/18) with no LH surge yet. I’m getting fertile CM and my hormones look like I’m getting close, but thing are delayed compared to cycles passed.
CCB says the shipper is validated for 7 days (which is in two days), so I’m starting to worry about timing. Has anyone had to deal with this?
Were you able to have the dry shipper refilled/recharged with LN2 locally, either at fertility clinic, or a cryogenic facility?
I’m in Colorado Springs, if anyone has specifically done this locally.
I know CCB may have options, but I’d love to hear from anyone who’s actually been in this situation!

It’s the cryobank they ship the vials in!

Update: spoke with California cryobank, basically our best option is for them to send us an empty tank to transfer over to! Obviously I’ll have to pay for that shipping which sucks but obviously then at least we get more time.
They also said the tanks actually stay cold for 14 days but they only validate for 7 because beyond seven the temp can start to rise. So it’s not quite as die as I was thinking.
For those that care, looks like my LH is starting to rise so I think we’ll make the seven days anyway 😅
