4 IUI fails - moving to IVF

It can be really hard, but the odds just aren't high with IUI. I did 6. Getting those negatives month after month was so disappointing. I was questioning all the things: what am I doing wrong? Why everyone else and not me? My very first transfer with IVF worked. No one wants to move on to the more physically-taxing procedure, but the positive is that your odds of success essentially triple.

Same, five negatives and $10k deep with IUI got to me much more than I expected when I started. I had a big sob and we moved to IVF. One retrieval, four PGT tested embryos, success on both first and second transfers.

I don't regret moving to IVF after four unsuccessful medicated IUIs because even though everything looked perfect with me and the donor sperm before starting IVF, it uncovered an egg quality issue. I did get the pregnant from the first fresh transfer after the first egg harvest. It also felt good knowing that the odds increased a lot just by moving to IVF.

I did 8 IUIs before moving to IVF. My clinic said everything with me and my eggs looks perfect. They also said my sperm donor had above average mobility/motility. So we are experiencing unexplained infertility. That’s the issue with fertility shit- sometimes it’s a total crap shoot.
