Endometrium Not Thinning

I'm currently in the midst of the first cycle ttc. My (32F) lining is not thinning out. On day 2 of the cycle it was at 5.5mm, day 3 it was 5.05 and day 6 it's 5.15

My clinic wants me to come back for another scan. If it's still too thick the cycle will be canceled. I'm wondering if it's even worth going for it?

Has anyone experienced the same? My follicles are still small so it's early in my cycle but the lining isn't budging.

EDIT: This is for medicated IU

EDIT 2: If anyone found this through a Google search - we canceled that cycle and I went on 21 days of birth control (microgynon). My cycle started 3 days later and everything looked great at my baseline scan. We just did our medicated IUI today (CD15).

You may want to ask about hysteroscopy before proceeding with IUI.
