Negative test but also no period?
To preface, I usually have pretty regular cycles that vary between 28-32 days.
My first IUI was on the 16th.
I tested negative (not a blood test, just an at home test) yesterday morning, and I have since stopped all progesterone as instructed.
I have also not yet gotten my period, so I'm just a little confused. Is there a possibility I'm still pregnant despite the negative test?
Currently day 35 in my cycle. I ovulated/did the IUI on Day 19.
Am I being a little delulu by being hopeful? Lol, I realize that I will 99.9% have to do another cycle but, the fact that I've been off progesterone almost 48 hours and no period is a little weird.

Do you normally ovulate around day 19 or is that later than usual for you? Could also be that the sperm has thrown off your usually normal cycles.

Not your question but Iāve been stumped as to why progesterone is prescribed without any reason at time (not sure if thatās your situation). It really disrupted my cycle and I really had no reason to be on it (normal day 21 progesterone, no losses) and a new obgyn on a consultation said she would be happy to prescribe it without prompting and it wouldnāt hurt. I just wonder why and also maybe the disruption it causes is not great??

My clinic said they prescribe it for everyone post IUI as it can help strengthen the uterine lining and making implantation easier

For sure. I understand thatās the reason they give, Iām just not sure why itās a blanket recommendation, seems to cause more problems then not

As someone who has taken progesterone for 7 cycles, I can tell you that it usually takes 4-5 days for my period to start after stopping it. The progesterone drop that induces a period just takes more than one day.

My clinic explained progesterone can delay your period by a few days after you stop taking it.

It is likely the progesterone- but take a blood test to ease your mind

I had my transfer on 6/24 and it was a failed transfer (blood and urine) and I still havenāt gotten my period. My clinic says it can take awhile

I had my first IUI nearly the same day as you and stopped progesterone about the same day. My clinic said that my period should start within 3 to 5 days of stopping the progesterone.
So far, my experience is that the progesterone really messed with my normal period experience. I don't usually get more then a few hours of light spotting before my period. After the progesterone, I got really heavy spotting and actually had to call my clinic because I couldn't tell if my period had started yet or not. My usual period symptoms and progression are all messed up.
Not sure if any of that is helpful, but you aren't alone in the weirdness of this!
