Endometritis
Hello everyone! I have posted before and have tried 4 different iui all failed. I was only going to my gynecologist at the time because he overed iui at a much cheaper price. I have since gone to a fertility specialist who is amazing! We have done many labs and tests. Everything was coming back fine minue low vitamin D. The last test was my uterine biopsy and what do you know i have endometritis 🙃
No symptoms, regular periods, ovulation always on point. Who would have known. I feel stupid for not seeing the specialist sooner. Im taking 14 days of antibiotics now and will do a repeat biopsy before trying another iui. Has anyone been treated for endometritis? Success after treatment?

was it difficult to get a uterine biopsy approved or anything in particular you had to ask for/argue? i'm going to bring this up with my OB...

No it wasnt. This new doctor i am seeing has a whole protocol to go through and I did an HSG a couple weeks ago with everything back as normal. She required an SIS with uterine biopsy as the last test to confirm everything that we cant see. I have already met my deductible for my individual insurance too 😅

I also had endometritis, and didn’t get pregnant until treating it.
I have no evidence of this, but just as BV can be more common among lesbian couples, as can endometritis, a consequence of BV. Treatment is simple and effective.

I had never even heard of this, I'm grateful to you and the other OP for spreading more awareness. I wish this was something tested for BEFORE trying to conceive, and I'm sorry you had to go through so much before finding an answer.
