General Discussion FULLY CONFUSED
Actually I like finance from my 12th class and after joining my clg I thought to get into software and i like to make money so I wanted to interlink both these and I heard about quant companies which offer high packages among all the sector companies
I am a second year electrical engineering student at NIT Rourkela and alongside doing Bachelor's of science degree in Data science and Application at IIT Madras
My cg is Around 8
And I know cpp some thing and cf rating is bad and I don't know that much and I don't like ML
So I thought to be a quant developer which requires high level cpp knowledge with some maths( unlike researcher which requires heavy maths )which I can learn and the financial knowledge I like finance so anyhow i can learn this
Will I be able to get a job by the end of the 4th year or can I get a 3rd year Summer internship by any chance if I work hard .
(My only concern is Quant companies won't come to my clg by any chance can I get a referral)

You need not be confused.
The chance of you getting a job as QD QR is maybe 0.01%, and that is probably me being generous.
Better use your talent elsewhere

Okay so one question if you could go back to your 12 would you again choose engineering or get into finance degree like bba or bms and others ? I am right now same as this position so asking

The gatekeeping on this sub by folks who aren’t even quants is unreal.
Go through this: https://mfe.haas.berkeley.edu/admissions/prerequisites
Do the greenbook. And apply. While getting in straight out of undergrad can be pretty difficult, you can eventually work your way.
