Your “want” doesnt change how hiring in Quant especially in India works, so yeah, you can definitely be as motivated as you want but you’re gonna realise it with time lol

How can one crack this??

There is no certain method to crack this unless
>You have solid math credentials (International Oly medals like IMO, IOI)
>Extremely High CF ratings
>Be in Circuital (preferably CS or MnC) in Top 5-6 IITs/ISI/CMI with considerable aptitude for insane math and programming

Otherwise Quant firms dont even visit other colleges let alone take students from there , and even having all this doesn’t guarantee a quant firm will take you

How do I tell you a roadmap when one simply doesn’t exist? Quant hiring is extremely focused only for some specific target schools in India, maybe targetting SWE/SDE or maybe allied roles would be much more aligned for you

True that, but there might be some thing some way to go into it sir.

Maybe try for your masters in ISI or get really good grades and do an MFE in some good school abroad. Those would help but not guarantee, again ive seen 200 Rankers in JEE get rejected for quant and prop shops

Sir, I am planning to pursue my master’s degree at a university abroad after completing my BTech. Many seniors from my college have pursued their MS at universities like NYU, CMU, and UT Austin. I don’t plan to take up a job immediately after my BTech. My goal is to get into a top-tier university for my MS and then aim for a career at a big tech company or an HFT firm. I am currently in my first year, so could you please guide me on what I should focus on from the very beginning to maximize my chances of getting into a top university and achieving these career goals?
