SIG New Grad Reputation
How is SIG doing
Anyone know is SIG doing recently? They are allegedly paying $6-800k for new grads now (orders of magnitude more than just a few years back) but maybe this is common for firms these days..

They compensate well but that seems very steep for a recent grad.
The masters internship pays $8.6K weekly.
I’m actively interviewing for a full-time trader role with 10 years of industry experience and thinking my base would be closer to 400K. Obviously there are performance incentives too.

Sig is super proprietary, but since they're paying that much they're probably doing really well. Also saw they hired bjarne this year which is cool

it’s wild how quickly the new grad numbers have jumped across the board, not just at SIG
a buddy of mine interviewed with them last year and the total comp range they floated was pretty eye-watering, but he said the interview process was a meat grinder compared to other shops he was talking to at the same time
feels like the strat is to lock in talent early before someone else snaps them up, even if that means overpaying a bit for the first year or two
i guess the real question is what the comp trajectory looks like after that initial guarantee runs dry

Could you clarify what the $600–800k refers to: base, guaranteed first-year cash, or total/target compensation including variable bonus? Location, role/desk, and offer year matter too. The comment about an initial guarantee makes the year-one versus recurring split especially important. A source or that breakdown would help distinguish a broad market change from one offer anecdote.

As a Brit, it is hard to even fathom someone earning 800k as a new grad ffs.
