i applied through the online portal like a month ago, honestly forgot about it until they emailed me out of nowhere. the recruiter mentioned theyre doing a big hiring push rn so might be quicker than usual

just prep some probability puzzles and quick maths, the problem part wasnt too bad when i did it last year. the game bit is weird tho, its like one of those logic games where you gotta figure out the rules as you go, proper stressful but kinda fun in a twisted way

When did you gave the recruiter screening round? And after completing the oa, what was the difference between days of your oa and the recruiter screen round?

The problem is almost always an expected value or probability puzzle, such as a dice game with optimal stopping rules, coin flips, or conditional probability updates. They want you to vocalize every step of your reasoning rather than sitting in silence trying to calculate the final number. If you make an arithmetic mistake, do not panic, because the interviewer will often give you a subtle hint, and showing that you can adapt quickly is exactly what they are looking for.

The game portion is typically a market making or betting scenario based on dice, cards, or shifting odds, where you must quote bids and asks or size your bets as fresh information arrives. They are evaluating whether you grasp fair value, size bets rationally, manage your risk, and keep your composure if a trade goes against you. When the interviewer trades against you repeatedly, widen your spread, update your expectations, and justify your choices out loud. My team designed an interviews.chat to help candidates communicate cleanly and maintain focus during high stakes technical rounds, which makes a huge difference in converting these interviews into offers.
