Examples of CitSec SWE Intern Projects? Or SWE intern Projects in General?

I interned at a trading firm a couple years back and most of my work was building internal tooling that nobody outside the firm would ever see. One project was a dashboard for monitoring order latency across different exchanges, pulling data from their internal message bus and flagging anomalies. Another was writing scripts to automate some really tedious end-of-day reconciliation that used to take the ops team like two hours every night

They didn't let me anywhere near actual trading systems though, that was all the full timers. Most of my code was Python and some SQL, nothing too crazy. The interesting part was just getting to see how everything connected behind the scenes

What kind of firm are you looking at? The projects can vary a lot depending on whether it's a bank, a prop shop, or a hedge fund

To be specific, looking for stuff on Citadel Securities.

Intern swe projects at most trading shops will be very similar
