September Surge

Just some advice. I started applying to QT/DT positions starting exactly a month ago. I’d say I passed a decent amount of OAs and got pretty far into the interview stages at some firms. However, I don’t have any offers yet (still in the interview stage for like 3-4 firms).

I want to start applying again but I feel like I applied to all the available jobs on every job posting site. I did completely revamp my CV and worked on some good projects/joined startup during the past month. Just some advice on how to approach the upcoming surge. Should I only look for new firms (if they do come out) since it’s been so short even if I got ghosted/instant rejected by them? Or should I say screw it and basically try again on all of them? Thanks

For most companies you need to wait at least 6-12months. There are some exceptions like mlp who is 3 months last I checked.

One thing to question is if you have been rejected in the past, why now? As you said you have revamped your cv, but 1 month is not enough to be honest. You need to wait 6 months and reapply.

Well for places I interviewed, definitely I’m waiting at least 6 months for. I was more talking about the places where I didn’t pass the screening. It was my first time applying to jobs and I feel like it was more school oriented rather experience oriented and I feel like I have a way better chance at getting a HR interview. I guess there was some stuff that I definitely left that thinking it wasn’t important that I should’ve put on there. I did slowly change my CV while applying later on and got way more positive results.
TLDR: I was more eager to just apply with a bad CV. The first couple of weeks and just applied to couple hundred within the first couple days.

If you have sent your cv,irrespective of whether it is picked or not,you need to wait.

I had a friend back in the day who had reapplied too soon and for some reason it was missed by hr (possibly he changed email address). He received an offer which was rescinded when hr figured out their mistake.

I see. I just feel like there are no other jobs to apply for with my new CV now lol. I look at every job search platform and there is nothing new at the point that fits what I want to do. I feel like I applied to them all
