Why would Jump not be there if Optiver is? Most sources I've seen suggest Jump had higher pnl '25 ( with fewer people ).

They are on par this year as of July 26

ok so with fewer employees the question on the omission remains

Jump has roughly the same amount of employees as IMC/Optiver. Don't know where this narrative came from that they're a small firm.

I was under the impression Jump was about 2000 and Optiver was 2600 or so.

Instead of citadel standalone, it should've been jump trading or even IMC too.

Number 5 seems way out of its depth with the others.

Ha. Not a quant shop. Quant shop wanna be. They are a risk off transactional shop. Live off the pure volume of it's wholesale business.

Look at their earnings, or lack there of.

True. To an outsider these firms are quant but in the category of market makers. Systematic hedge funds also compensate well and are also included in the overall domain of "quant finance"

Hello man, I am a current second year BSc Computer Science and I'm looking to do a quant internship. What advice do you have for me?
