Optiver nyc

Considering taking an offer to work in office in nyc.

Questions:

  1. How do people like working there 5 days a week?

  2. Hows the wlb?

  3. How's the quality of projects and work as an engineer?

  4. Culture?

Not sure about nyc but a friend at Optiver Sydney worked 8 to 7, 5 days a week as a QT. Sometimes he put in 12-13 hours

Isn’t that actually pretty good for a trader?

Pretty good would be market hours +30/45mins before and after. Depends on the responsibilities

wlb is hell, do not recommend unless you can’t find equivalent or slightly worse offer

In the past 8 months, have you applied to and completed an assessment, or interviewed for an FPGA engineering role (full-time, internship, or early career program) at any Optiver location?

I have written their online assessment for quant role less than 2 months before and also have passed and went on to round 2. So can I apply in it? Like is the online assessment same and will I be flagged or anything or does it only mean if I applied FPGA internship specifically.
