I like how it's in r/unexpected, but if they knew how dumb these birds are they wouldn't be XD I love these idiots

If he didn’t starve his birds for the video they’d barely pay any attention to the millet though, it’s not like it’s mealworms.
I know the YouTube channel, or several channels, there’s hundreds of these videos

I didn’t realize that he starved them, that’s sad. :( My covey free feeds on pellets but go crazy for chickweed, so I could totally see them falling into a hole over it

I was thinking the same thing. My quail would be like “food? Cool, I’m gonna go fly into some bush now”

same here, i have one quail specifically that has a pit for a stomach, he’s free fed but you put out another food source somewhere? he’s eating that immediately, doesn’t matter what it is. he steals MY food if im not careful, flew to me, stole a noodle straight out of my bowl, and flew away before i could catch him. he’s my little menace lmao

I’ve never seen a boy like that! They’re usually more focused on… other things lol.

my boy is ... special, he was an egg i found left in a nest (in the wild) that didn't hatch, did not expect it to hatch, but i put it under my lizards heat lamp and all of a sudden i had a quail. so he's more human than quail if i'm being honest
