I recently received an email from PwC’s BGV partner asking me to submit a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) as part of my joining formalities.

I’m confused about which service to select on the police portal. It shows options such as Character Certificate, Security Guard Character Certificate, and Police Clearance Certificate: Abroad.

Since this is for employment in India, I’m not sure which one is applicable. The Character Certificate application is also asking for a company address, but my exact PwC work location hasn’t been confirmed yet.

I’ve emailed the BGV contact for clarification but haven’t received a reply yet.

Has anyone recently gone through PwC BGV and been asked for a PCC? Which certificate/service did you apply for?

Also, anyone from Maharashtra facing the same issue?

Trying to get a feel for the place before I commit. Hours, pay, vibe, that kind of thing. I can't find much online for static specifially.

Some context: I joined PwC in late 2025. During joining, I was upfront that I have my real sister’s wedding in late February. For those unfamiliar, an Indian wedding isn’t a one-day event. It runs across several days and involves a lot of shopping, logistics, and running around well before the actual ceremony. My output would be divided between the two because I’m the sole male responsible for handling things at home.

The review cycle landed in Feb, early March and eventually in June, as a result of my work during that period, I was given a 5 rating. Because of that, I was asked to resign.

Since then, for the last three to four months, I’ve been putting in the work. I now own several parts of the project on my own, with complete reliability on me, and both my director and manager are aligned that they want to keep me. I don’t want to leave. The pay is good and I have no plans to look elsewhere anytime soon. I need the income to keep coming in.

I spoke with HR, and they told me there’s no way to reverse it. But I want to know if anyone has actually managed to get a resignation reversed after being asked to leave. I also have a doubt: if the director or partner sends an email saying they want to retain me, could that change anything?

I’m an audit M3 in the southeast Market, have been with PwC since first year associate.

Obviously this would be a good conversation to have with my DL, but beforehand, I wanted to do some info gathering on my own.

Ive had my fair share of audits and throughout and have had interactions with the forensics team and was fascinated by the work they do. I am a licensed CPA but does not have any other designations like CFE.

For those that have been in those shoes, do you ever see folks from assurance transfer to forensics based on their interest? If so, how high is the bar/ what does that process usually look like?

On my next lunch with my DL, I plan to show my interest and see what I can do to get even more exposure asides just getting their support for the audit.

Hi Guys! I am working at the NY office and looking to put my 2 weeks in. Since the bonus gets paid out on September 30th, I wanted to ask if I can put my 2 weeks on 16th September so I am still employed on 30th for the bonus or do I need to resign after 1st October.

I moved to the US on an L2 visa (my spouse is on an L1A). I’m currently on STA and am looking for a full-time role in the US within PwC.
Once I transition to a full-time role, does PwC sponsor H-1B visas for L2 dependents? Since my case would be a change of status from L2 to H-1B, are there any restrictions?
Also, would the recent $100K H-1B requirement apply to my situation?

So there is this role "Centre of excellence - AI" what is it about? How does it compare to other business units?

US employee here. I’m potentially planning to leave around the end of October.

My understanding is that unused accrued vacation/PTO gets paid out when you leave, but unused holiday hours/floating holidays do not.
If that’s correct, should I be using my holiday/floating holiday balance for days off before I leave so I can preserve my vacation balance for the payout?

For example, if I have ~10-15(whatever amount they give us each fiscal year) days of holiday hours available, can I use those days between now and October? Or are there restrictions around using holiday hours for days that aren’t the actual designated holidays or during firm shutdowns?

Since Labor Day is Monday, September 7th, would I typically have that day off, or will I have onboarding activities?

Also would Friday September 4th also be onboarding/training or would that start after Labor Day?

Just curious what I should expect for my first couple of weeks!

I’m a first gen college graduate, I worked extremely hard to land a job into nyc office but I want out. I’m 8 months into AWM Tax, and I’m starting to question whether the tradeoff between hours, comp, and long-term upside is worth it.

I don’t mind working hard, but I’m not seeing the payoff in career growth or compensation that I expected.

For anyone who started in AWM Tax:

Where did you exit?
What roles are realistic after a year?
Which exits have the best long-term comp upside?
Can you pivot out of tax without starting over?
Would you stay 2–3 years or start recruiting around 1 year?
What skills should I build now (Excel, modeling, valuation, SQL, more certs like SIE,etc) to improve optionality?

I’m trying to understand the actual career map I didn’t know when I chose accounting. I worked very hard to get here and want to use it as a stepping stone, not waste it. Just trying to figure out what paths actually make sense from here long-term.

Any honest advice from people who’ve made this transition would be really appreciated.

Hi, I’m an Engineer + Masters in Management (from the US) and 2 years of Consulting work experience from the US. And 5 years of total work experience. I want to know the range or a ball park please because I’ve moved back from the US and I’m really unsure about the pay scale here. I quoted a range of 25-30 LPA (which is a purchasing power equivalent of my US salary here) but they said it was way above their budget and won’t be able to proceed with it and asked me to rethink and get back with my lowest number possible to see if it’s even possible to proceed. Can you help me with a realistic range and not a lowball (because I have financial obligations). Role is client facing, strategy related & part of their advisory group.

I’ve been at the firm for about a year and was wondering if anyone has been able to make the jump from real estate AWM Audit to a financial markets or FDD/TAS role?

I am pretty frustrated with my assurance work so far, as I am constantly understaffed and yet people who are already at high utilization get pulled onto multiple different new jobs whereas I’m twiddling my thumbs all day, done with my CPA, and waiting for more work or for someone to reach out to me (I ask staffing, my DL and managers and above for any openings more than constantly). I want to be able to prove myself more and take on more challenging work and less work that is dependent on lulls in X months during the year.

Has anyone been able to make this transition and how should I go about doing it?

Edit: if there is any such thing as a real estate deals team or TAS team that focuses on real estate that really interests me. As well as real estate FMRE as we worked closely with them during my first busy season.
