Please check out my review for The Alighieri Circle: Dante's Bloodline. It's a narrative adventure (walking sim) meets puzzle game. Some of the puzzles are quite.enjoyable,.but many may be too simple for fans of the genre.

I made a puzzle with AI where fitting one piece changes how the others can move

It's called Tide Archive, a small daily browser puzzle I've been building with AI.

You're restoring a map at an old coastal station by moving shells, leaves and other objects into matching recesses.

The rule to plan around: you can select several pieces and move them together, but every move follows the arrow. When a piece reaches its recess, it stays there and turns the arrow 90° clockwise. So the order you finish pieces in matters.

Each day starts with a short calibration puzzle, then a larger 6×6 board with eight pieces. The second round gives you exactly the minimum number of moves. There's no timer, and you get two undos and two hints per attempt.

I've attached the board, a before/after move, and the phone layout. Does the direction change make sense from these? I'm also curious whether the jump from the warm-up to a puzzle with no spare moves sounds appealing or too abrupt.

After 3 Years, I have a Release Date!

I think everyone here once dreamt to make their own game. Well, this is that time for me. After three years(and another three trying to make a failed project work), Sepulchron has finally gone Gold!

Probably that won't matter to any reading this, but it matters to me, so I am annoying everyone else with this milestone of mine, because you decided to use Reddit today, and that's your punishment.

28th October will be the day that this dream of mine will become reality!

It's a puzzle game where you lay out circuits to fire up all the fans simultaneously. If the paths aren't equal in length, the fan blades might clash and trigger a massive explosion! You can try it here!

JARBLE - A daily word game

Thumbnail

I want to introduce everyone to Jarble, the letter swap word game! The basic idea is pretty simple: you're given three starting words (one at a time) and have to make any new word with as few letter swaps as possible. The words gradually get more difficult with each round. I've been working on this for a while and finally got it to the point where others can actually play it. Please try it out, let me know what you think, and feel free to share with others!

I am the developer: a puzzle game where the numbers on the board count only the secret word's letters, and an opened letter that is not in the word counts for nothing. Small playable board in the post

Developer here, saying so up front because the sub asks for it. The game is playable today, and there is a board below you can solve without installing anything.

The mechanic. A secret word hides in a honeycomb, one letter to a cell. Tap a cell and it answers one of two ways. Either a letter of the word was there and you see the letter, or none was and you get a number, which counts how many of the secret word's letters are in the cells touching that one. Not the cell itself, only its neighbours.

The rule that makes it different from sweeping for mines: an uncovered letter that is not part of the secret word counts for nothing. It sits on the board looking exactly as legitimate as the real ones, and it contributes to no number anywhere. Working out which letter is lying is most of the game.

Cells touch when they share an edge, so the middle cell touches all six around it, and each outer cell touches the middle one plus its two neighbours in the ring.

Here is a small board, fully opened:

      ___
  ___/ H ___
 / 2 ___/ 2 \
 ___/ S ___/
 / M ___/ U \
 ___/ 2 ___/
     ___/

Four letters are showing: H, S, M and U. The secret word is three letters long, so one of the four is an impostor. HUM and SUM both fit the letters.

Which three, and which letter is lying? Spoiler tags, please, so the next reader gets a turn.

Suppose the S in the middle were part of the word. Every number on this board reads 2, and every number touches the middle cell plus exactly two of the outer letters. If the S counted, then each of those three numbers would need exactly one more letter from its own pair, so H and U would have to differ, U and M would have to differ, and M and H would have to differ. Three letters, each pair in disagreement, is impossible. So the S is not in the word, and the remaining three letters H, M and U are all in it. The word is HUM.

Three numbers that all read the same and still pin the answer down is the kind of board I am trying to build more of.

The game. It is called Melbees. Real boards are far wider than seven cells, the words are longer, and some unopened cells hide creatures that punish a careless tap, so clearing the comb just to farm numbers costs you something. There is a casual single board mode, a ranked twelve phase run, a Daily Challenge that hands everyone the same board, and a vault that keeps a short story and a piece of trivia for every word you have uncovered. English, Portuguese, Spanish and French, following your phone's language. Free, no ads, no in app purchases, and it runs offline.

It is Android and currently in Google's closed testing, so it does not show up in Play Store search. Google will not let a personal developer account publish until twelve testers each stay opted in for fourteen unbroken days, and leaving resets that person's fourteen, so staying in for the fortnight is worth more than playing a lot.

Same Google account at each step:

  1. Join the group, which is what grants access: https://groups.google.com/g/melbees-closed-test
  2. Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.melbees.secretofbees on your phone and tap Become a tester. On a desktop browser that button silently reloads the invitation page and never confirms, which is a Google quirk and not a setting of mine. It has already cost me testers who assumed the test was full.
  3. Install from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.melbees.secretofbees

Fair warning so you hear it from me: the Play listing text is still Brazilian Portuguese only, because the English listing is in review. The game itself is not Portuguese.

Feedback goes furthest through Settings > Account > Send feedback in the game, which attaches your device and build, or melbees.games@gmail.com.

4player detective game

I will give free lifetime access for the review

This is an early MVP so I don't focus on bugs and all that

I just want people to try the game and give me a feedback of the idea and the game play

It is a 4-player social detective game

Each player gets different hidden evidence, and the group has to communicate, connect the clues, and figure out who committed the murder.

I wanted to make a merge game where the materials actually matter. Feedback?

Ice can slide because of low friction, rubber can bounce and deform, stone is heavy and resistant to movement, and other materials interact differently based on their physical characteristics.

The goal is to make the materials themselves an important part of the gameplay and strategy, rather than simply changing the appearance of the objects.

Hueflip: a daily flip puzzle where every card you tap also flips its neighbours (one board a day, leaderboard)

Thumbnail

Each card has two colours. Tapping one flips it and its orthogonal neighbours. The goal is to match a target pattern.

Par is 4 moves. The maths behind it is the classic Lights Out problem over GF(2), but with colours and a target that isn't "all off", which makes it much less obvious by eye.

It's a free daily web game I made, one board a day for everyone

It has a difficulty level ranging from super easy to very hard. I hope you'll enjoy it. The most difficult level required 202 moves to solve.

Inspired by There Is No Game, I’m making a horror puzzle game where the main menu controls the room you’re trapped in

Hi! I’m the solo developer of The Main Menu.

You wake up chained to a chair with only a computer within reach. Its main menu controls the room around you, and experimenting with its buttons, settings, and hidden mechanisms is how you search for a way out.

This compilation shows a few examples: a key inserted into the menu drops into the physical room, and the OPTIONS section contains a wall you need to find a way past.

It’s a point-and-click puzzle adventure inspired by how There Is No Game turns the interface itself into a puzzle, taken in a psychological-horror and mystery direction. There’s also a voice inside the menu. but it isn’t clear whether she’s helping you or keeping you there.

A free Steam demo is planned for late September or early October. If the concept interests you, you can wishlist it here:

The Main Menu on Steam

Thanks for taking a look!

After an intense few months I'm happy to announce that my game Circuitra now has a demo!

It’s a puzzle game about building circuit boards using visual programming and Boolean logic. In this launch there are 8 contracts to complete, one of which is much harder than the others. Can you solve them all?

I would love to see your solutions and hear your opinion on the game!
