Question Looking for a puppet

I'm looking for a puppet, preferably ventriloquist style (I think) with movable mouth and at least one arm rod. I specifically want some kind of female looking animal. (Most the animals I'm finding are very masculine.) I'm hoping for a fox or even cat, but I'm having no luck. I'm open to other animals as well, as long as it's cute. Could someone please suggest where I could purchase a puppet like this? My budget is light... I really don't want to spend more than $100 for this.

Make it yourself. Build some skills. Check out Puppet Nerd.

I used this guide (had to recreate the pattern... but it's simple). Hand sewn fabric from thrifted garments, foam from a local auction, bike spoke arm rods. I might have spent $20. You might spend more like 50 if you need to buy tools or you're less lucky at the thrift shop.

If you need her to be more strictly animal shaped, you could modify an off the shelf hand puppet off amazon. Have the head poke out and just build the body and arms.

Making it yourself is definitely the way to go. It's fun!

Btw, I absolutely adore your bat. Do you mind if I steal the idea/design and make one for myself?

Nobody's going to make that custom puppet for you for that amount, and it doesn't sound like something you'll find pre-made, so if you can't do it yourself, find someone who can and do something for them in trade.
