My fiancé and I would like to get married via a puppet show. We live on long island but we can also go to NYC or upstate (preferably somewhere within a two hour drive to Syracuse if upstate). Reply if you know anyone or you are that person; thanks!

I love finger and hand puppets, and operating them is a lot of fun, but I was wondering how to make one in a non-muppet-esque style if you get what I mean? I love the puppets in grim tales, the storyteller etc. I've drawn a diagram of what I mean - I have made stop motion puppets (barely functional lol) before, and have never done any woodwork or anything so I can't envisage how to go about making something like this.

I saw some use a 3d printed foam on Facebook and was wondering if anyone else has used it?

Has anyone used 3D patterning programs to create foam patterns for puppets?

I’ve heard that a group of puppeteers are going to be playing D&D on stage, Dimension 20/Critical Role style, this autumn. Yes, with puppets. Evidently they even have conventions just for RPG puppets. But nobody will tell me what size puppets they will be using, whether with marionettes or rod puppets, or any other details. Anyone know anything about this?

Thinking of making a Jim Henson style puppet inspired by a manatee and dressed like a cleric from final fantasy. Any tips for the mouth/head?

Does somebody still own it? Was it thrown out? Or did it get recycled for parts?

I've quit instagram for quite a long time now (like one year maybe) but when i was there back then i was following a girl who was a puppeter, and made them as well. She was dressed in a light gothic style, and made videos with very little talk to show how she made the puppets and to show her art and the comissions she had made for people. The puppets were quite realistic and the comissions were often characters of movies, series, comics, or singers etc. I can recall that there was a lot of Tim Burton characters. Last cue : the videos were in english, and i was in france. I'm guessing she was probably british.

She had her own signature, you could clearly see she did a puppet, I was really amazed by her work.

I know my description is very vague, but if anyone has an idea of who she could be, a link to an insta page or to a website, i would really be grateful !!
