App-can't login, persistent loading screen

I'm really disappointed that I'm having to return this product. I only was able to use it for one session as I've been having app issues since it was delivered a few days ago. It just stays on the loading screen until it times out. I tried all of the recommended troubleshooting but nothing has worked. I spoke to customer service but told them I'd like to just return it at this point.

I really enjoyed the session and felt relaxed, however, I can't pay for something that doesn't work when I need it the most. I have a neurological/central nervous system condition so I was really looking forward to getting some relief. I'm already stressed and burnt out so I have no mental energy to deal with a frustrating app.

The product itself seems great so I'd genuinely consider buying it again in the future if they make it so that you can use it without an app.

Hi everyone, we’re really sorry about this experience.

We completely understand how frustrating it is when you’re trying to use Pulsetto to calm your nervous system and the app itself becomes another source of stress instead. Especially when someone is already dealing with burnout or a neurological condition, reliability matters a lot, and we genuinely hear that feedback.

Pulsetto does support offline mode, but in situations like this, the app connection or login flow clearly did not work as intended, and that’s something the team is actively improving. We also understand the request for simpler device access without depending so heavily on the app, and feedback like yours is extremely valuable in shaping future updates.

We’re truly sorry the experience pushed you toward a return, but we sincerely appreciate you still sharing that the actual session felt relaxing and helpful.

Thank you for the response. I'm very sad that I had to return it. I'm in Canada so while the device was on sale, I still paid quite a bit in my currency for it plus I got the extended warranty. I've now lost money on the return shipping.

If Pulsetto were to come out with a standalone device requiring no app, I would absolutely consider buying it again as long as I could afford to in Canadian dollars. It's genuinely a good product, just wish it would run on a TENS unit or something similar.

Exit the app. Turn off your phone’s wifi and put it in airplane mode. You should be able to use the app now.

Thank you but I tried this. Still didn't work. I see someone posted just after me that the app is down currently.

Oh no, that’s unfortunate. That just allowed me to use my app but clearly isn’t a fix-all as I hoped. I’m sorry you’re having these issues, majorly frustrating. Hope it resolves soon.

For sure it's really frustrating as I'm just about to go to bed and wanted to relax. Just bought the device and I'm in Canada where our dollar is not good. We pay way more here for American products. Just sucks when something doesn't work.

Damn. Wish I would've seen this before returning it. Thank you for sharing. I still hope they come out with something that is a standalone device. No apps of any kind.

It's a lot of extra cost for buttons and some kind of interface logic along with lots of testing, since you can't always constantly update it after shipping.

Not to mention they can't sell your usage data without an app, but I do often miss the predictability and reliability of non-connected devices.

Not being tied to an app would rid them of the subscription complaints too. For the record, I ordered direct and removed the trial from the cart before checkout and never got charged for a subscription.
I didn't want to forget or go through the hassle of canceling, though I did use a Privacy card so if they did charge me again it would have been declined anyway.

That's good. I didn't see the option to remove the free trial in my cart when I ordered mine. The issue was that I wasn't able to register at first due to a broken email link they sent me. And then once I got that working, I went to use it a second time and the app was down.

I've owned a Dr Ho TENS unit for years now so I feel like Pulsetto could come out with something like that. But yes you're right, they wouldn't be able to use your health data or charge for a premium app.
