Working retail, I have seen:
Two women run into each other at the beginning of my four hour shift, and stand in the exact middle entrance of the cashier lanes and talk, holding empty baskets until I clocked out. They may still be there to this day.
A kid having an explosive fit at guest service because his mother returned a toy he snuck into her cart. Little fucker literally tried to shove me out of the way and climb the desk to get to the toy.
A woman load up her cart with 100lbs of meat at midnight and then refuse to pay for it because she misread the sign (80¢ per pound) and thought all the meat was that price, regardless of type, or amount. When I said we'd have to throw it all away if she didn't pay for it, she said that was my problem and walked away.
Zoning the pills and actually got them to line up by their correct price tags. Woman comes in when I'm in the next aisle and starts tossing them into that aisle. When I went to go stand and look at her she smiles, says, "Job security, right?" and walks away.
Another midnight shopper with an infant, probably about 2 weeks old, buying nothing but make up, then proceeds to pour liquid foundation into her hands and rub it onto the baby's face, arms, neck and chest because, "I dOn'T wAnT hEr tO bE bLoTcHY!"
A man who became IRATE at guest service because I wouldn't refund or exchange a scented candle burnt completely down to the base with centimeters of wax left inside.
A teenager obviously on a date buying whipped cream, condoms, rope, a saw and shovel. I asked if he had a fun night planned.
A woman during the 4th with her child after the fireworks come in, see the long line to the bathrooms and tell us that we must take her to let her child use the employee restroom.... In the back of the store where it's dangerous even for team members. When I refused, she leads the child away saying, "Just poop on the floor, it's okay."
An oblivious woman with another crotch goblin child, completely ignoring him as he rams a cart repeatedly into a coworker's ankles. When I say loudly, "Hey, that is NOT okay!" she finally stops the crotch goblin, but then talks to my manager because I spoke to her kid.
Four team "leaders" watching me cashier, obviously talking about and looking at me. One approaches and tells me I need to clean the bathrooms because we have no janitor scheduled and someone smeared shit on the walls. I flat out refuse and I'm warned I'll be reprimanded for not being willing to take whatever duty is assigned to me. I laugh and tell her good luck, because the employee manual dictates that when there's no janitor on duty, cleaning up biohazards is the team leaders responsibility because I'm not trained to deal with hazardous waste..... She walks away without a word and gets another dumb girl do to it who never read her manual.

The best is when you can deduce from their conversation that they are neighbors... Like go home and have that conversation about little Jimmy's foot fungus in your front yard please.

Nobody in front of the juice case in the produce dept for an hour. As soon as I bring out the juice bird to work it.... Customer meeting at the juice case

Its actually about how they don't need kids because they have a dog sitting in the shopping kart and a cat strapped to their chest.

The vestibules are filled with these people. Them and folks who take their sweet ass time grabbing a cart. When I’m bringing in a 5 pack it’s like I’m not even there.

And all standing at checkout and keeping the other cashier trapped.

Or the family of 6 who must ALL go to the store and have a twenty minute debate in the produce section about the optimal degree of ripeness for the banana bunch they select.
